As some of you may have noticed, the forum went dark for a while all of a sudden. This appears to be due to an automated update screwing up more than it fixed.

Unfortunately, this may mean that some content posted just before the outage is missing. If you are missing any less recent content or experiencing any other issues, please report them here.

So it looks like there was no database involvment in the outage, so no content should be missing.

I suspected it might have been caused by a type of software engineer called a database tuner.
Once they start fiddling it can go on for years.
