Yes, yes, I know. It's not that kind of obituary.

Still, it's the end of an era. I've followed the misadventures of Clarkson, Hammond and May since before I could drive, with "spinoffs" such as James May and a bunch of school kids building a life-sized Spiitfire model or the longest model railway in Toy Stories, Clarkson becoming a farmer and so forth. Pretty much the only reason those gems of televised entertainment caught my eye was because I knew the presenters from Top Gear and later, Grand Tour.

The final episode of Grand Tour aired on Prime on the 13th.

The Asmo is a sad The Asmo now. :sadnod:

In Asmo's grey lump,
wrath and dark clouds gather force.
Luxembourg trembles.

I didn't bother to watch 'The Grand Tour'. I may well rectify that situations.
If religions were TV channels atheism is turning the TV off.

The later seasons were specials only (4, 5 and 6, though 6 only had a single swan song episode)

There were some really good ones there. Seamen was probably my favorite from season... 4, I think.

P.S. James May's Toy Stories I mentioned earlier are largely on YouTube if you are looking for some wholesome and fun entertainment.

What do I know about Clarkson.
Did he assault a cameraman on TG?
Is he fatally attractive to women?
Has he still got a home in the Isle of Man, to avoid paying tax?
Does he brew his own beer at Diddly Squat to sell in his pub?
Is he still obsessed with a car's nought to sixty in 3 seconds ability?
Is he happy about so many pubs closing so customers can find their way to the Farmer's Dog?
Will he continue to host Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

Isn't almost everyone a millionaire these days?
If you suffer from cosmic vertigo, don't look.

Depends on what currency.
In Britain about 1 in 4 pensioners are supposed to be millionaires.

Doesn't mean they have access to a load of cash.

I don't know about cameramen, but pretty sure he knocked some sense into an producer.

Based on Clarkson's Farm, it looks like he's using a local brewery that does it professionally. Still, they did have that one batch of Clarkson Grenades. Cider, I believe it was. Explody variety.

Not in high value currency countries. That said though, and in broadly the same geography, a million today is but a sad shadow of what it was in, say, 1964.
