That's how religion works.
Count the hits and the misses.
If hits > misses then believe.
If not, just ignore.

Example: 2nd creation myth.
Does man come from the dust of the earth?
If stardust. Hit!
Is woman born of man's rib?
Rib contains DNA. Hit!
