That's a bit sad, as statements go. One really ought to have more in life than its overarching philosophy. Of course, a lot of people do not... Some don't even have that, really.

One could argue that there is no heaven or hell in existence.

Why is its absence or presence in Humanism at all relevant? If your preferred life philosophy had a doctrine of Santa-worship, would you then believe in Santa just because "an ideology demands it?"
