The implication is that the very poor, the less educated, are attracted to the Current Republican theme. I use the word "current" because the republican party and its operatives were not always out of their fucking minds. In time gone by, the republican party was responsible and for the most part, sane.

That is not merely an exceptional case. States that are staunchly republican also seem to have the most high school dropouts, the most teen pregnancies, the most spousal abuse and a few other less than admirable traits. Praise the Lord, they are also the most religious.

That is interesting. I had the impression that in the past the Democratic Part was the party of the working class and the Republican Party of the rich. Nowadays it seems to be the other way around.

Male followers of the chump are, in general, middle-aged whites with at least no college education, who feel disenfranchised with their low-paying jobs. They represent about 40%(?) of Republican male voters. They completely fail to see that the Republican party is doing less than no favors for them. When the chump was on 'Face the Nation' near the end of his term, he said that if he won, "entitlements would be curtailed". The MAGA folks think that means "women of color who are having many children to collect massive welfare", a trope which has no basis in fact, but was invented by Reagan when running for president- the "Welfare Queen". "Entitlements" are, to the Rep leadership, Social Security and Medicare, which those same MAGA people contributed to over their lifetimes. It's THEIR money, so in that sense, I guess they are "entitled". Talk to one of them about how they approve of the Chump saying he was going to kill "Obamacare", because they still have the Affordable Care Act, which is the same thing. Pig ignorant and proud of it, they are. As long as they can "stick it to the libs", they'll cheer for it, even if it turns out to hurt them, too.

Hamas has succeeded in its aim of ensuring generational hate between Palestinians and Israelis will continue well beyond anybody alive in the area today.  >:( :'(

what choice do they have?

the israelis have been slaughtering them since 1967.

if they move, theyre murdered. if they stand still, theyre murdered.

im sorry for anybody that is killed in this evil conflict, but im a lot less sorry these days about dead israelis than i am about dead palestinians.

They're just going to keep killing each other until they want to stop. And I don't see that happening any time soon. It's just a shit storm of hatred. :(

i put the blame squarely on israel. sure, the palestinian militants are vicious killers.

mostly its because they are learning by imitation, every generation, from the state of israel.

its not in any way a situation of equal responsibility. count the dead on each side in this most recent dispute.

i dont see any change in the pattern until iran tests a nuclear weapon.

Yeah, but it's not like it was going anywhere before that either.

The best they can hope for, I fear (and that assuming that Israel lacks the resources to take and maintain control over the "no-mans land") is... More of the same. Build that wall, stick flamethrowers on top, sit behind it, get an occasional rocket barrage, restart war.
