This is probably going to be an unpopular perspective. But I find Aaliyah's music to be mostly overrated with her hypersexualized songs that have repetitive lyrics. I say hypersexualized because of sex being disguised as love. "Back & Forth", "The One I Gave My Heart To", and "Try Again", are the only songs I like from Aaliyah to be honest. I am disappointed that she never wrote most songs her music catalogue has. I think she wasted potential before sadly dying.
