Never doubt the damage religions do to humanity.
If religions were TV channels atheism is turning the TV off.

Just the normal stuff for the modern godly leader.

"Robert Morris, former Texas megachurch pastor and Trump adviser, indicted for child sex crimes" | Texas Tribune

QuoteRobert Morris, the Dallas-area megachurch pastor who resigned last year amid sexual abuse allegations, has been indicted in Oklahoma for child sex crimes that date back to the 1980s.

Morris is a former spiritual adviser to President Donald Trump, and Gateway — one of the nation's largest megachurches — has been particularly active in politics. In 2020, Trump held a "Roundtable on Transition to Greatness" there that was attended by then-U.S. Attorney General William Barr and other prominent Republicans.

Morris faces five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child, the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office said in a Wednesday evening press release.

The indictment comes less than a year after Morris resigned from Gateway Church in Southlake after an adult woman, Cindy Clemishire, said Morris repeatedly sexually assaulted her while she was a child in Oklahoma in the 1980s. Morris was at the time working as a traveling preacher.

May the saints preserve us, that is that not an isolated case.

Comes to pass that "youth pastors", all over the place, have been having at sweet little 14, 15, 16 year old girls. By the time a girl is 15 or 16 she will probably have developed a feminine bodily appearance. Horndog pastors and deacons are not blind and they have hormonal urges the same as we heathens do. Jesus forbids even the thought of non connubial encounters with unmarried women, or teen age girls. Hormones and damned poor judgement overwhelms the man of god.

Beware you sinners! Sins of the flesh shall be assessed at the pearly gates....and sometimes at the earthly jail house.

Oh, yes! But if one confesses one's sins before death (and, if I understand the premise of the sacrament of "extreme unction" provided by a Catholic priest) one may proceed directly to heaven. Religion and the wickedness of the men's minds who espouse it...

Heh, I'm not even attempting to keep up with these items, just noting the occasional one. When I ask myself why, I'm not entirely sure of the answer. I've been doing it for years, but it's not a habit as such.  ;D
