Icarus

Last night good wife and I opted for a ticket to Ad Astra.  We endured for a while but decided to leave mid movie for a more entertaining pursuit like going home to take a nap.  Photography was very impressive, story line was a snoozer.

Yes Tank, "Mother" is a sickening repulsive film.
I also go along with No One's list of bad actors. Superheroes. . Yuck!!! They cause more damage and destruction than the bad guys! Just comic book crap! Disaster movies are just as silly, and you will notice in every one that the main character is estranged from his wife and kids and his wife's new partner is always an arsehole!

I'd like to add the following to the list of bad actors.
Val Kilmer
John Cusack
Steven Seagal
Owen Wilson
Ben Affleck
Nicolas Cage
And Roger Moor was never any good as James Bond.

I do like westerns and one (in my opinion) not to miss is "Lonely are The Brave" with Kirk Douglas.

Bugger. I was going to see that next week.

You might like it Tank.  There is no accounting for tastes and so, to each his own.

I like Ad Astra a lot. It's not an action movie. And it's not quite 2001, but it's in a similar vein.

I'm probably going to watch it tomorrow. I'm between that and Joker.

I also liked Joker. It was very dark with no good in it, but very well done. In the same kind of vein as Requiem for a Dream, but not as depressing.

I ended up watching Joker, and enjoyed it very much. I'm guessing there's going to be an Oscar nomination for Joaquin Phoenix coming out of it.

Well that was 2:15 I won't get back, nor the £23 I spent.

Too long, horrendous technical mistakes, irrelevant plot diversions, actors are the wrong ages for the characters.
