This is another must see youtuber, I believe he's a Professor at a NYC university, I might be mistaken (there's not really a lot known about his background)
BUT he tackles a lot of subjects on religion from difficult Christians sects, biblical contradictions, etc. And his videos are not only informative but funny as well.

I've been a subscriber to a lot of these channels for a while now. Lots of excellent material (both from a humorous and informational stand point). On Easter, some friends and I actually got the motivation to start making our own videos. I threw one together pretty quickly Sunday (I wasn't very happy with it, but whatever... need to start somewhere). Escaping religion and indoctrination from youth is probably one of the most difficult tasks you could ever face. I remember being a doubter in church and being told that all I needed was a mustard seed of faith. That god would reveal himself to me in time. There were so many things presented to me that just strung me on through delusion. Isn't it funny how god keeps having to "prove himself" in people's lives?

One of our (yes, our) goals is to present some of the absurdities of the bible. The fact that any of these stories hold credibility is amazing. They play them up as a big, emotional message to appeal to the naive.

There's a lot of Christians out there that are good people. It actually saddens me to see them in psychological slavery to a fairy tale.

Do you reject science and all it brings? Will you have the courage to reject science and grasp at symbols of your religion when you are lying in hospital bed, close to death? Will you place your faith in prayer rather than penicillin ? Will you die fighting a war fighting for your religious values ? Would you kill infidels in the name of an intangible entity ? Will you continue to consume resources in a finite world because a 2000 year old book tells you that you have dominion over all living things?
If you accept the bible as the unshakeable word of god that is your right. However, the evidence for your decision is flawed. Maybe it is flawed in culture, family ties or your are simply a victim of propaganda. To deal with the power of the institute that promotes an infallible doctrine is difficult if you are born into a place where it is considered the norm, but critical thinking will show there is only one conclusion.
There is no God.

If atheism is a "religion", then Not Collecting Stamps is a "hobby". I don't argue that "god" doesn't exist. I'm not concerned about proofs, or likelihoods, or probabilities, of there being a "God" or not. Actually, I lean towards there being some kind of a creative force, though I would not argue for that being the case, and I have absolutely no idea of the nature of what such a "force" might be. I argue against the idea that the Bible has anything to do with truth in the areas of divinity or spirituality. The Bible is a demonstrably revolting and appalling piece of writing. It is morally redundant, and so full of murder, revenge, punishment, war, and bigotry that it amazes me that anyone can even mistake it for being in any way "holy".

As a young adult, I was a seminarian and then a Catholic priest, for a total of twelve years. I am now an atheist. I now deeply regret those twelve years as wasted years. Some of the reasons that I now make religious videos are: I want to make up for those wasted years. I value truth and rational thought. I see much harm and evil coming from religious faith. I am convinced that, as rational thought increases and faith recedes, our human species will evolve in better directions, and I want to contribute to that evolution.
