'Silent bomber' couple jailed for London terror plot

A husband and wife who plotted a terror attack in London have been jailed for a minimum of 27 and 25 years.

Mohammed Rehman, 25, discussed targeting the London Underground and Westfield shopping centre on social media under the name "Silent Bomber".

He and his wife Sana Ahmed Khan, both from Reading, were convicted of preparing terrorist acts at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.

Bomb-making chemicals were found at his home, the court heard.

Rehman also filmed himself setting off a small explosion in his back garden.

The 25-year-old was planning an attack to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the 7 July London bombings, his trial was told.
