NASA are developing a new "space qualified" self contained nuclear fission reactor/generator. The article mentions toasters and households, hinting at a possible domestic application. Hope they get the technology 100% before letting systems with a lump of fissile material and liquid sodium plumbing loose in public! But, perhaps, they only mean toasters and households on Mars?
