i listened a while to the radio coming home yesterday. a christian station talk show guy was intervoewing a man who wascwarning against bill gates and the covid vaccone that contained semi conductor crystals.

the purpose of the adulterated vaccine was threefold

1 to be able to identify you as part of the globalists program of worldwide control

2 to be able to track your movements ditto

3 to be able to use as a form of monetary control after the left wing liberal globalists abolished the banks and the monetary system

all this was because the vaccine was the mark of the beast

i couldnt take it for long

I couldn't listen to that while driving. I'd get road rage of the first order!!!

Continuing the grumpy condition...... My county commissioners' meetings have become farcical.  It is customary to have an invocation before the formal meeting starts. In an attempt to obey the separation of church and state concept they recently allowed a secularist to give the invocation.   He was respectful but failed to invoke God in his "heathen prayer." Attempting to correct the outrageously unchristian demonstration by the secular guy, one of the commissioners arose, out of order, to give a proper Christian prayer.  Which he did.

The commission, recognizing the plague of locusts that would be cast upon us by God, decided to fix the problem.  They designated six particular pastor/preacher/charlatans to do the preliminary ritual. Holy crow! Two of the six are Pentecostal nut jobs.  No atheists among the chosen six.  Now the Florida association of Secularists have initiated a lawsuit.  The commission vows to fight back.  We will piss away a considerable amount of taxpayer money to pay lawyers to defend the Glory to God position of the commissioners.  Sheeesh!  >:(

Ooops sorry :geezer!:

Welcome to La La Land!  >:(

Ye, most of those conspiracy theories are ridiculous.
Not the one about the disappearing $19 million of maple syrup though.
Oh no of course not, there's no explaining that without the involvement of interdimensional aliens.

Or ants.

the american program is called "crosstalk" and is broadcast on a religious station. i belive its the same one i remember that interviewed a nut job on 2000 who explained how satans disciples were all going to come out into the open at Y2K on new years day and usher in some sort of biblical armageddon like calamity.

i dont knowvwhat they have to say as the prophecies fail. i guess there is always a new one.

Icarus

The sky may be falling in my county.  A recent post complained about my county commissioners and their nuttery.  Today my local newspaper had a full page add that featured a letter to the Governor of Florida; DeSantis. The ad included photos of the proud and happy commissioners who believe that Ivermectin prevents covid infections.  The letter praised the governor for standing up to the leftist, socialist, Democrats who are promoting legitimate vaccinations and  stealing our freedoms and will destroy the nation.  The ad was said to have been paid for by an outfit whose web site is CCDFUSA.com.

Who the hell is CCFD? I went to that website.  The site is generally about religious goobers who are dedicated to "freedom".  Freedom such as not being told to wear masks or freedom not to take Covid vacs.  They are also in favor of the rules in Mathew 18.....the parable of the lost sheep and such.

The commentators claim affiliation with TurningpointUSA.com.  WHooeee!  That site is for far right students across the land.  That outfit apparently has 2500 chapters in colleges and high schools.  They sell tee shirts  with slogans such as; Big Government Sucks.

Do not look at either of these sites because it may spoil your, otherwise, perfect day.  I am Grumpy, and to be honest, fearful for my nations sanity.

gah

so thursday my travel agent texted me

wanna pick up steel on the river, take it to chicago, reload there and bring it back home?

i looked at the hours-- 19 hours of driving. it was noon, so i would load in the afternoon, drive west all friday, get to chicago saturday mnorning and be home by sunday.

nah, im only 300 miles from the house. lets do something on the way home.

so he sent me to pickup concrete reinforcing mesh. right on the home run. perfect. except . . .

i got there at three on friday. they stop loading at four thirty, which meant that they wouldnt load me until monday. i told them i wouldnt be there, so they said, spend the nght and well load you at 0630.

lies, all lies, in spite of the fact that i was the only gringo there who habla pidgin espanol and so i translated this bad news to all the drivers behnd me.

so the next morning they didnt load me until 1130. i was headed out and then the forklift driver came up and said, i messed up and put too much on your truck. i have to take some off.

so i finally got out at 1230 and went down the road, took an exit and the load shifted left. i hadnt strapped it down super tight because i didnt want to bend it too badly. so i limped into the truck stop and bout four portable winches and tried to pull th eload straight.

no.

driving a heavy load that leans over the side of the trailer is disconcerting. maybe nothing happens, maybe the truck turns over, maybe people die. so leaving out a bunch of telephone calls and side trips i ass-puckered my way back to the shipper at sunset to see if anybody was there on a forklift on saturday night. and there was. more pidgin espanol from the gringo.

habla ingles?

no

esta bien. mi camion no es bueno. mira . . .

por que?

mira. i pointed out the lean. then i explained that i wanted to loosen the straps and have him push it straight. which he did, carefully in about five tries..

muchas gracias, mi amigo. su ingles es sufficiente. me boy ahora, y mas gracias

so i drove away in the dark on unlit pennsylvania roads, heading west, still concerned about the top heavy load. then i looked in the lights of the cars creeping behind me, and noticed that my trailer brakes were smoking. no where to stop, nowhere to pull over, if they got hot enough theyd light the tires on fire and that would be awkward. but i finally found a shoulder wide enough to avoid certain death and went back to feel th ehubs.

warm, cold (id backed that one off already), warm, hot . . .

th ehot one was smoking. so i got out my puny wrench and backed the brakes shoes off until they didnt rub. then i drove off and kept an eagle eye on the rear end for 100 miles. i now had only two functional brakes on the trailer, because my mechanic/owner is behind schedule.

parked at the local truck stop, got my shit and left. ill see about a better place to park the truck tomorrow. the whole week took me to 69.5 hours out of my legal 70 hours of on duty time, although nobody stopped me to count.

if id just gone to chicago in teh first place i could have avoided all the drama.

They could make a sitcom out of your life called 'The Fucked Trucker!'
