Not sure how I feel about that new tax information, except to say I guess we'll see when we get there.  Doesn't seem too unfair.  I do know there's still a lot we don't know about the Affordable Care Act, and a lot of misinformation.  A conservative I work with was telling me today he was mad that the Dems wanted to shove this down our throat, but of course they won't have to live with it, and will continue getting their premium awesome health care courtesy of the taxpayers.  I had to tell him this was incorrect, as the Affordable Care Act forces Congress persons to choose between a private health care option they can pay for out of their own pocket, or if they still want a government health plan, they will be forced to use the local exchanges just like commoners.

Its not just misinformation, but, deliberate disinformation. It is unfortunate but there are a lot of people who are are veamently opposed the the Health Care Reform Act and are only to willing to lie and misrepresent what the act says in order to defeat it.
It appears to me (whether rightly or wrongly) that direct arguments against Christianity and theism produce hardly any effect on the public; and freedom of thought is best promoted by the gradual illumination of men's minds which follows from the advance of science - Charles Darwin

I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the object of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own -- a god, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. Neither can I believe that the individual survives the death of his body, although feeble souls harbor such thoughts through fear or ridiculous egotism. - Albert Einstein

Religion is a by product of fear. For much of human history, it may have been a necessary evil, but why was it more evil than necessary? Isn't killing people in the name of God a pretty good definition of insanity. - Arther C. Clarke

Faith means not wanting to know what is true. - Friedrich Nietzsche
