I suppose it would depend what you were addicted to.  Husband is sort of addicted to working out (but not to the point of being unhealthy) so that's kind of helpful.  He actually wants to work out on a regular basis.  But in general, I find compulsions that are hard to ignore tend to make your life more stressful, not less.  So there's that.
