Come to think of it, don't my and Tank's avatars math very nicely?

I think we should have a rule: An avatar needs to either to be gray, grumpy, both, wear a hat or have an epic beard  ;D

Good. I don't think it overpowers the layout, but it allows a little better personalization.

I agree. I think forums only really start looking messy when every member has a flashing 1200X370000 signature and crazy gifs at every turn.
