I romaniticize "a simpler life" but in truth I freaking love my iPhone and am glad that I have it.
Yes who would want to go back to living in caves drawing silly pictures on the walls. Instead, we cart our smartphones around, and draw pictures on the apps.

I suppose I ought to answer my own question!
Often times I've heard people say, "I'm giving up TV and radio etc." and do without and act like they are better than others who choose to keep them. I don't think giving up things such as that makes anyone more virtuous or better than anyone else.
I, for one, welcome lights, running water, tv, radio and electricity! Not to mention medical advanes and the spread of knowledge.
Here's a question for today:
If you had the chance to become a child again and get to do it all over...would you?

Hmm... Define "child".
Actually, no need. I would not.

Only if I could take back what I know now.

Say that when you're 52!!! Hahaha, fair enough. Though, I still think I'd probably want to redo from my 20s onward. Being able to drive/drink/have sex/earn money makes me too happy.

Can do all that at fourteen... Except only the sex and money part would be legal and only under certain circumstances in certain parts of the more civilised world.

I also wouldn't want to live under my parent's roof again, as much as I love them, so that'd put me back to 19.

If you had the chance to become a child again and get to do it all over...would you? No. From about 30 on, maybe. But not from childhood.

If I could go back armed with the knowledge and information I have now, I might go back. Like everyone else on this planet, there have been a few things I've screwed up that I wish I could fix, if I were given the chance to. So if going back could mean I'd have the chance to correct anything that needed correcting, I'd suck it up and do it, yes. If going back meant going back without the knowledge and information I have now, just going back with a blank slate and winging it like I did the first time.... then there's no power on earth that could convince me to go. My childhood wasn't bad. From birth to aged 11, it was pretty good. I have a lot of good memories of being a child. The rough part was from... eh... 12 to 17. I had to grow up too damned fast, way too young. So if I had to re-live that without being able to change it, no thanks!

No, definitely would not want to go back to being a child. My childhood was fine and all, but I much prefer adulthood. I don't even think that I'd want to redo my 20's. Sure, there are some things that I sometimes wish I had done differently, but then who knows how that would change my current life (like those old sci-fi stories where the time traveler steps on a bug in prehistoric times and comes back to a world where the Nazis won.)

Have you ever had a spiritual experience (an experience that cannot be explained by science)?
I have spiritual experiences that are fully explained by science. do they not qualify?
