do you as want, we don't have to answer for others for our beliefs.
Family is overrated? Not for most of us. For better or for worse, many of us have family (either biological, adopted or friends who have become family) and we love them. They love us. We don't live alone in bubbles. We don't have to "answer to them" for our beliefs and ideas, but we generally need to get along with them.  |

Hi namithaishot, I'm sorry, but I cannot agree with your statement "Family is overrated, really". Amicale says it all!!! I also do not wish to lose family & friends because of our differing beliefs. Maybe one day we can all agree to differ and stay friends! Or am I asking too Much? Realist  |

Just as they usually try to get along with us (tho some people are always going to be assholes, there's no way around that). I know at times my stepmother has to try very hard to like me, I realize it's not easy and I appreciate that she's willing to make the effort. Different as we are, not biologically related as we are, we're still family and that's worth something to both of us. |
