"It doesn't seem to me that this fantastically marvelous universe, this tremendous range of time and space and different kinds of animals, and all the different planets, and all these atoms with all their motions, and so on, all this complicated thing can merely be a stage so that God can watch human beings struggle for good and evil — which is the view that religion has. The stage is too big for the drama." - Richard Feynman "Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go" - Oscar Wilde

but can we feed the countless millions all over the world, and the several children that each will have if saved?
Even if we could, should we? NopeYes, that one right there probably works for The Grayly Mail - The Asmo's personal propaganda machine. So would this.

Maybe he was praying for scientists to do those things so he could sit on his ass, and some how has found the secret of youth.

It's not that we can not afford to feed it. The issue here is responsibility, and this rather unfortunate individual is none of mine. I agree with Asmo to some degree, although photos like that always tear at my heart.

That's a sad and scary image to look at... But it goes back to the core of education, doesn't it? Why have children in the first place if you cannot afford to feed them? If you wanna cut the thread from here, go ahead. I always see images of mothers with five kids and no food to go around in countries like South America , not just Africa...

I think the point of the was to illustrate the hypocrisy of churches, mandated to help the poor spending vast amounts of wealth on monstrosities like St. Peters in Rome, not tug the heartstrings of atheists into action.
