Forum Modifications
« on: February 14, 2020, 05:02:18 AM »
This is a general topic for announcements and discussion of forum modifications, aka "mods". Presently there are two of them: One that allows embedding YouTube/Vimeo videos, and one that allows the use of spoilers in posts.

The reason for this post is to let people know that the spoiler mod has been changed. The one we were using was not working well with the updated SMF (forum software), and has been withdrawn by the SMF mod site.

You won't notice much difference, but the new spoiler mod includes a couple of different headings and their associated buttons on the Post reply page, called "Changelog" and "Off-Topic." These work just the same as the regular spoiler, but showing "Changelog" and "Off-Topic" instead of "Spoiler."

It was possible with the previous spoiler mod to change the heading, and it's the same with this one. To do that, you can enter whatever text you'd like to appear as a heading instead of "Spoiler." Like so:

Code: [Select]
hidden content
In a post it will appear like this:

Don't Look!: ShowHide
You looked!

Comments and questions are welcome.

Perfect.
If religions were TV channels atheism is turning the TV off.
“Religion is a culture of faith; science is a culture of doubt.” ― Richard P. Feynman
'It is said that your life flashes before your eyes just before you die. That is true, it's called Life.' - Terry Pratchett
Remember, your inability to grasp science is not a valid argument against it.
