Intrepid Adventures In Commerce (Shopping)
« on: July 11, 2019, 10:03:43 AM »
Dried Oregano 500g      $2.97
Dried Mixed Herbs 500g   $4.59
Dried Basil 500g      $3.24
Ground Mustard Seeds 2kg   $9.99
Turmeric 500g              $4.01
Garam Masala 500g      $5.22
Ginger Powder 1kg      $6.88
Ground Coriander 1kg   $5.09
Ground Cumin 500g      $3.78
Black Eye Beans 2kg     $13.05
Dried Cranberries 1kg   $7.11
Shipping                 $20.06

The supermarkets give you piddly little amounts of herbs and spices and charge at ten times the rate.
I put teaspoons of garam masala, tumeric, ginger powder, cumin, curry powder in a stir fry tonight, worked pretty well.

I claim a victory.

Well done. I have no basis for comparison for what the 'piddly little amounts' cost.

All those interesting looking herbs and spices. :tellmemore: I just do what non-cooks do and just add some salt.

Much cheaper. I claim victory with my salt. :P

Blue. Red looks like something a hotel concierge would wear.

Not sure anyone "needs" that.  Wants? Sure.  Would really like? Definitely.  Needs kinda overstates it, IMO.

No, I wasn't saying I needed that, I was saying now I've got that I need to spend more so I can properly utilise it.
