Sokka's Haiku Battle I loved The Avatar cartoon.

My submission:

Greedily chewing his bone
Not to be disturbed

I think your haiku was rather good. This one is more of a senryū, in my opinion.

First a random five
Scrape the barrel for seven
Then dig up five more.

Jeez, but it's boring.  Nearly as mind-numbing as tennis.

Interesting. I'd never heard of a senryu before.

Morbid haiku box
In my pocket it sits now
Yet it gets it wrong

I don't know about that OG. Having played tennis for many years I can't think of anything more stultifying!

Hit the ball across
Watch it sail over the net
Rinse lather repeat

The Asmo, He has the perfect haiku in His siggie.

I have no future
And whilst I love the present
It is passing now

maybe this is better:

I have no future
And whilst I love the present
It just passes by

A good line, a rhyme
I'm not the creative type
