Well you know me , I don't think there's anything wrong with anything. We've all got to plough our own furrow.

So you and Stevil are on the same page in that you don't think that "morality" exists, correct?
What does morality have to do with this thread? Roll Eyes

No matter how we plead, He doesn’t strike down our enemies. There hasn’t been an instance where He has cured our sick. Powerless, we can only wait to be tossed onto the dirt of a foreign land. He doesn’t have a thread of spiritual existence. If only there were a shadow, a whisper. But I haven’t felt Him once.”

Yes, in the sense that that there any universal or objective moral principles. A number of other members also seem to accept that any moral code is necessarily subjective.

I trust your endorsement will quash the last stirrings of dissent.

Yes, some of His Grayness' ways are easy to understand. Others, however are not.

Back to the original question:  I'm pretty sure that socially enforced monogamy is an attempt to keep most of us from killing each other off.

I don't think that's just it. Perhaps it's trying to be an 'order' or a system to things. Which is where marriage to only one person comes in. Either way, I don't think monogamy is normal, but hey, that's me.
