Well last straw moment at work today. Told a co-worker what I thought of them and walked out. I really can't stand stupid any more.

I feel for you. Working in the IT,  I also have to deal with a lot of PBCK and RTFM cases
PBCK?

What about PICNIC?

It is the same (PBCK= Problem Between Chair and Keyboard)

I've been selected to take part in a study to see the effects of treating psychosis with playing video games. I'll be paid $15/hr and earn up to $350 for the whole thing. There s a wait list that will come around to me at the end of May when they will assess me further.
That sounds like a fun job! Unless they try to mess with your mind by making you play video games with crazy flickering graphics or something. 😨

They said it will be on this thing called brain hq. Whatever that means...

Or, what if you get stuck playing games you don't like or even hate for hours on end, like "Just Dance Disney Party'?

Oohhh! That sounds fun! I am kind of a Dancing Queen....

Today I do battle with ivy. I'm retaking the garage. And the maple tree. And the shed!

Careful there JJ, these climbers can be tricky! Had a similar battle with an Old Man's Beard (Clematis). It had smothered a nice Rowan tree and you could barely see the garage.

Ended up with a "bale" of stuff about ten foot long and four foot in diameter. And one very relieved Rowan that, over the next month, had a head about five foot higher and looking much greener and healthy.

Oh, and all kinds of scratches, a pile of old bird's nests, leaves and small stuff, millions of bugs of all kinds and the great need for a shower!

I'm going to go in with an initial application of vinegar and salt, followed by submerging some cut ends in containers of Roundup to help kill the root system. Hopefully I'll be able to start using the concrete surface by next weekend.

Well, no-one nearby maybe . . .

The trick is to come to appreciate yourself my friend.

It's a pain when you feel like that. Not much you can do but push through. Rant here if you need to and it helps.

I don't know you very well as you became active on here during my time away.  No-one should feel like this though, it saddens me that you do feel alone.  Have you tried getting out to social places where you might meet some people?  Meetup.com is really good for finding clubs and groups that meet up to do a joint hobby or just socialise.

Buddy

Just got a call from my parents. They are in their way to the vet with Athena, our Doberman, to be put to sleep. I guess her health has taken a downturn in the last week and there isn't anything that can be done for her.

I'm incredibly sad but also a little relieved. She's been on heavy duty pain killers for a while and she could hardly walk any more. I hated seeing her like this because I know she would rather be out chasing rabbits than sleeping on the couch all day.

I am really going to miss her though. I'm glad I took the time to give her an extra scratch when I was moving my things out.

Buddy, I am sad for you and your family. I know how it hurts. I'm glad your parents can be there with her until the very end.  :'(
