Post by: Simone on January 17, 2008, 11:25:37 AM
Uh..... I just kind of saved a blank page on Microsoft word over my geography essay, is there a way to undo that?

Check if there's temporary file in directory you saved the file.
Copy it and rename it with .doc extension.
Word keeps backups as temp files and I have succeeded to save lost stuff from those temp files.
If it is not there-shit.

^what moose said.

Make a practice of saving important documents in more than one location (making a jump drive or network location one of those places in case your computer crashes).  I started doing backups after loosing something I had worked on for a few weeks due to a corrupted file.

to add what was already said:

Have frequent backups!
Made them happen automagically!

If you have to think when to do backups - you will forget, and if you have to do them manually, you won't do them until it's too late.
