Give a deity an excuse

Gods are having all kinds of trouble these days.
Their stories just don't stand up to inspection.
There is little wonder Martin has trouble finding someone to argue with.

So in the interest of helping the needy, I propose we give god some excuses.

Jesus you've been gone 2000 years, why haven't you come back yet?
Ohhhh, you see I’ve been on this planet with really really long years,
