WOW!

I've been so busy lately I actually forgotten about the challenge, and in fact didn't realize I was close enough with votes to even win. Considering the class of real photographers here at HAF and past winners I'm quite honored to have garnered as many votes as I did.

Thanks everyone who voted, and thanks for all of the congratulations...very kind of you all.

Well done PB! I'd guessed that was Hermese.

Thanks a lot Tank, that a very wonderful compliment. (I'm blushing0 :toff:

Congratulations to Papasito Bruno, whose photo #3 won by a solid 2 vote margin over the runner-up #7 from hermes2015! Well done, and to Papasito Bruno goes the duty of deciding the theme of the next challenge, as well as running that challenge, should he choose to do so (I'm willing to do the work as usual, if not).

Thank you to all who submitted entries and also to all who voted in this challenge.  :)

Thank you Recusant, thank you very much, and yes I will not only decide on the theme for the next challenge, but will run the challenge to the best of my meager abilities 8)

I also would like to congratulate Hermes for his excellent photo, and to everyone else who submitted pics for this challenge, it certainly was a fantastic field of photos.

Here's the background on my photos.

Building located in the city of Detroit, I took the picture at a low angle so I could catch the reflection of hanging interior lights coming in from the lobby.

View of a series of steps located in the office building I used to work at.

Adjoining building to the one above. The marble is actually white, but light streaming in at midway caused the pinkish glow.

This is also from the office building I worked in. First I adjusted the pillows, and then moved the two couches and tables so they would align with the black tile lines on the floor. I took the picture hanging over the balcony that runs above. In fact I needed to hang over the balcony quite a bit to get the overhead perspective so i had a friend of my who works in the same office building hang onto my belt as I took the picture.

Anyway I had a lot of fun taking these, and really enjoyed the challenge. I'll try to come up with a new challenge by the end of this coming week.

P.S. So how is the prize money awarded to me for winning the challenge, is it wired?

For the next challenge I was thinking our theme could be "Pairings".

This could be things in pairs, a union of different but related objects, maybe a mixing or correlation of objects or ideas as with relations or combinations.

I hope everyone likes this theme, and I was thinking the due date could be by 2/25. This would give us about 2.5 weeks to complete the challenge.

Please PM me your photos (Up to 4 please) or PM me, and I'll give you me email address.

Thanks and good luck everyone.

Bruno

I forgot I needed to start a new thread for this, so exact details for new challenge will be found here.
