Late to post this.  Since I started it, I should say that the Rio Olympics, for all its problems, was a success from my perspective. I enjoyed it.

Americans showed their best and their worst.  As we often do.

I am with Bruce. The Rio Olympics went off a lot better than the naysayers had predicted.  Hats off to the Brazilians who made this happen.
Sure enough we did not see the behind the scenes difficulties but what we did see was well done.
