My son asked me to press his trousers because they'd fallen off the hanger and he was making final preparations for a work presentation. I made the finest set of tramlines seen outside Blackpool on one leg. It was rather hot and humid here in Perth and it took me ages to press them out.  >:(

Just some random ramblings.

I have no idea what's going on and that leaves me feeling frustrated and tired. I feel something is wrong, but don't know what it is. People have their gossip channels but I don't have access to them.

How I miss good information.  :sad sigh:

Ah, that is the advantage of being a selective, if not downright reclusive at times, old git - I don't give a monkey's what others are up to. (Providing they don't bother me or do damage to those unable to defend themselves.)

I just can't bring myself to do that.  :-\ My past is full of cases of people trying to harm me and my family, so I've become truly hypersensitive to whatever information on what people surrounding me are doing.

Have to admit I feel that way in crowds, can't build that bubble in public. Lijewuse I slways ensure that I am out of the way of others if I stop to check my shopping list, talk to someone or consult my phone. Hate it when people block doorways, pavements or aisles to natter!  >:(  Under those circumstances  my grumpy-old-gittitude can rise to the surface!

Dragonia

Due to some medicine that I've been taking for a month now, I have lost about 95% of my sense of taste. No salty, no sweet, no flavor. I will eat, because I know I need to, but the pleasure is gone and it's deeply disturbing. Everything is like mush in my mouth. I just never realized how much I would miss TASTE. So now I'm focusing on texture and crunch. Almonds are good, celery is great. Everything else is shit. And I have probably 3 more months of this.  :-[

Old age has dulled my senses, including taste. I love celery and carrots but am not sure whether it is the factory farming or my lack of taste that makes them so bland these days. Should have gone to the farmers' market today to get some real veg.

But my heart goes out to you, Dragonia, at least I can still taste apples and citrus.

That's beyond getting grumpy about Dragonia,.. I hope it comes back sooner than 3 months.

Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode when Kramer looses his sense of taste after being poisoned going inside Jerry's apartment while it's being bombed for fleas...he can no longer taste the Mackinaw Peaches which only come out for two weeks a year.

I would post it, but could find it :(

HA! I remember that episode! (I love me some Seinfeld) And yes, I just cancelled my spot at a really cool looking mushroom seminar because I just know it'll be frustrating.  There will be more seminars, where I can actually taste the samples.  >:(

I have a couple. Dave's Original Insanity Sauce and Dave's Ghost Pepper Sauce. The original is hotter while the latter seemed kind of mild.

My Dad randomly moved back in and now I have to deal with him yelling his arguments. He's one of those people who just yells his beliefs instead of backing it up. I sound like a grumpy teenager but, I hate him.

Huh, from cheerful to grumpy in one day!

Had my eyes checked the other day, got a copy of the specialist's letter to my GP.

He says there may be complications because I am on a certain medication. But I last took that medication in September 2015. So he is working on out if date data.

Not the first time this has happened but the first time it may affect shether or not I get the trestment I want. I was asked to bring a list of current meducations to the clinic (I always carry one) but was never actually asked for the list by anyone.

So, another letter of complaint to the liaison service and another letter to the specialist putting the record straight so he can make an accurate decision!

I shudder to think how many people suffer wrong decisions bcause of sloppy record systems like this. People who don't have the ability to cross check things.
