The Magic Pudding

I went to Hat Head yesterday, a nice place in a national park an hour north.

That's the beach, it's not normally a big surf beach because it's kind of protected by the headland.

That's a bit of the headland, an old volcano apparently.

That's tidal Korogoro Creek, there have been big tides and the water is nice and clear.

Off on a walk around the headland, I'll have to take a closer look at that little beach one day.
I passed one person on my walk, a fisherman struggling with a heavy load of fish.

Looking North to Smoky Cape, the beach in the first pictures ark around and end there.

Looking south from the front of Hat Head, endless sandy beaches are boring, variety is required I think.

Oh man, that looks great! Right now it's about 15°F here with snow and ice everywhere. Very beautiful area there. Thanks for sharing the trip with us.

Those are great photographs. I feel like I can smell the salty air.
I want bad people to look forward to and celebrate the day I die, because if they don't, I'm not living up to my potential.

Nice place, nice photos. Thing is I imaging your avatar wandering around there  lol

It is tricky getting the camera positioned on a rock and the timer set.

I'd say, look at all that metamorphic rock!

That royal hat seemed inappropriate. Pudding should wear a beach hat. And the spatula? A beach ball would be nice. The mittens or gloves should've been a bottle of suntan lotion. But the beach is so life.

Oh and the 4 jets!

If you have the original of this wonderful photograph my I suggest you crop off the top 20/25% (most, but not all, of the featureless cloud) I think it would turn wonderful into magnificent!

The white sand looks nice, where is it?
I prefer no jets though.
A nice shady tree is good, umbrellas suck.
Some waves can be good, unless there's something to see under the water.
If it's just an endless sand beach walking can get monotonous, you don't seem to get anywhere.
Crowds are bad but it doesn't hurt to have a few other people about to avoid predator paranoia.
Beaches which crocodiles frequent aren't for me, no damn tigers neither.

The good thing about jets is they don't tend to stick around for long  :D

It's Pensacola Beach Florida.  I think the Blue Angels (the jets) were part of an air show.
I wanna go home now..... I miss the sand.....
