Post by: viocjit on December 19, 2014, 04:36:39 AM
NEWS : Since February 2014 I did 26 missions as a mystery shopper. I'm still waiting the confirmation for my EVS but it is usual because it take some month to receive an answer. If I'll leave France the departure will be between march-may 2015 for a duration of 3 month. I hope that I'll leave in March 2015. If this is not the case I hope that I'll leave my land in april.

I began to learn local language with free ressources online. If I receive a positive answer I will buy a dictionary to improve my knowledge.

Who I'm ? My name is Anthony I'm 19 years old and I'm from France and I live in the main region of this country (Isle of France or ?le-De-France in French language).
I live in a fucking (excuse me for the word) neighbourhood where there are nothing to do and nothing to make.
Except speak with friends but I lose the contact with the majority of them because we didn't studied the same things. The majority of them studied in a "Lyc?e G?n?ral"  (College). I studied in a "Lyc?e Professionnelle" (Vocation school). For this reason I lose contact with them like I had a busy schedule. People that I met in my vocation school live very far of my city.
Each holidays this is the same thing.
I leave my home only when I must :
1.Empty rubbishes.
2.Buy something at the grocery store.
3.Buy something at the pharmacy.
4.Buy bred at the baker.

Also I leave my home when I can see my grandparents.
I missed my "Bac Pro" (BTEC National Diploma). I will try to obtain a job in September. But if I can't find a job ? that means few social interactions again and again.

Anthony, you call that being alone? I wonder what you would do in my shoes.

Yes , it is paid very well because in my country the minimum wage is 9.61 € per hour. I receive between 10 € and 20 € per mission. Actually I need between less than hour and 1h30 to accomplished it. (All money don't go in my pocket because some taxes are taken on my wage. The consequence is that I receive approximately 7 € on 10 € and 15 € on 20 €).

NEWS : I received 3 DVDs to learn the "code de la route" or "code of the road" in English that is the French traffic code.
The last news about me was that I received 2 DVDs. Now , I have 5 DVDs to learn all these rules.
I'd like to add a funny fact. Obtain "Épreuve Théorique général du permis de conduire" or "General Theoretical Test Driving Licence" in English is more complicate that obtain "Baccalauréat" or "Baccalaureate" in English that is an equivalent to A-Level in UK.
For those who are from Republic or Ireland : Leaving Certificate is the equivalent to this diploma.
For those who live in US I precise that there are not equivalent but High School Diploma is the diploma that is most near to French High School Diploma or Baccalauréat in French.
For Aussies who are here : This French Diploma is similar to High School Certificate (HSC).

Conclusion : Statistics confirm that obtain "Épreuve Théorique général du permis de conduire" or "General Theoretical Test Driving Licence" is more difficult that French High School Diploma. I need a good training.

PS : Who want explanations about this test ?

PS : Who want explanations about this test ?

Why do they make it so difficult?

I don't know why they make it so difficult but I can give details about how this test is difficult to pass.
1.There are 40 questions. If you obtain a result below 35/40 you can't pass it and you must to wait next session.
2.Test can contain confusing questions if you're not concentrate.
EX : Que dois je faire dans cette situation ? - What must I do in this situation ?
Que puis-je faire dans cette situation ? - What can I do in this situation ?
If you answer at the second question what you must to do you miss a point.
When you have this question you must to answer all actions that you can do and not only one action that you can do.
With the first question that is : Que dois je faire dans cette situation ? - What must I do in this situation ?
The right answer is only mandatory action(s) and not all actions that you can do.
3.It contain questions about car mechanics.
4.It contain some questions about laws.
EX : Who can conceptualise the next fact without learn it ? The legal limit of alcohol in the bloodstream depend of how many time you obtained your driving license.

2 years (If you obtained your driving license with accompanied driving) , 3 years (Most common formation module) : 0.50 grammes (0.50 grammes = 0.01763698097479 Oz in avoirdupois system a measure unit used in everyday life [I precise it to avoid confusions with once troy system used for precious materials] per litre of blood (1 litre = 1.7597540 UK Pint , 0 UK Quart , 1.7597540 UK Gallon or the next values in US measures 2.1133764 US liquid Pint , 1.0566882 US liquid Quarts , 2.1133764 US liquid Gallon).

The point is, if you weren't drunk you wouldn't dare to drive in Paris.  It's only the alcohol which gives them courage to face the horrors.

I'm never drunk therefore I wouldn't drive to Paris  :D
It is true that we can ask to the deeper part of ourself if drivers aren't drunk when we see how they drive.
A day I was in Paris (I don't live in Paris but I live near of this city in a zone between 20,000 - 25,000 inhabitant and I don't go often to the capital city) and I was impressed by the horrors.
What were the horrors ? The road traffic was very slow with all these vehicles and drivers seemed misunderstood danger. It was around 9:20 am and me as a pedestrian I didn't knew what to do.
In a lapse of time that was approximately one minute I found a solution. Stay concentrate and walk slowly to avoid a potential collision with any vehicle.

Yes , I'm still alive. I'm 22 years old and I haven't any medical problem (I can't be sure to 100% as any human being). I wasn't the victim of a serious accident and I'm writing this message on the board.
Now , you know why I'm alive.

NEWS : I did my first long distance travel alone and my first travel in a foreign country.
It was in Belgium near Brussels.
I can't open the bank account because I don't live in Belgium and I'm not working there.
You must to fill one of these two conditions or both to have the right to open a current account in this country accorded to the person I met.

When I'll take the appointment with my phone.
I warned them about the fact I'm a French non-living in Belgium but the person on the line didn't asked me if I'm working there.

Who know a country in Euro-zone in which a Foreigner not living and not working in this country can open a transaction account ?

The positive point of this travel is the next.
I know how to go there and others places abroad from the hub used to go in Belgium.

I'm thinking about becoming a casino dealer.
I want to register myself to a professional training.

Why I want to be a casino dealer ?

The majority of jobs with a good pay are unreachable to me because of my low level of education (This is why I want to get my DNB and the baccalauréat général).
Also , I'd like to travel around the world and this job can be practiced nearly everywhere.
I know I won't win a lot of money even if there are tips but it can be a good personal and professional experience.

Study is long. I don't know really what to do after I get my baccalauréat général but I'm thinking about get a licence (Bachelor's degree in English speaking country. You get it generally three years after you get your French baccalaureate) then maybe a master (Masters' degree in English speaking countries. We get it two years after we get a license otherwise we get it five years after we get the French baccalaureate) and why not a doctorat (PhD in English speaking countries for the majority of doctorat equivalent. You can get it generally three years after you get your master's degree otherwise you get it generally eight years after the French baccalaureate).

I have dreams and I want to do things in order to realise these :

I think that most complicated disciplines will be mathematics  , physics and chemistry and SVT "Sciences de la vie et de la Terre" or literally Life Sciences and Earth Sciences in English.
It does correspond to biology courses in English speaking countries.

The easier disciplines to pass will be Civic Education , History and Geography and English.

I think others discipline will be a bit difficult to pass.
But I think I'll easily get 10/20 or more (In the French education system 10/20 does means you answered rightly to half of question).

Casino dealer? That's... Kind of cool, actually.  ;D

Is that a job you want, or more of a-job-you-can-get-type-situation?

It's the two. It's far to be a dream job but it would be better than my situation.
The session will happens in some days.
If I don't pass it I would be waiting the next but I have no guarantee to pass it.
Someone with my qualifications have few chances to work in a foreign country.
So , it's in my interest to pass the test to join training.

NEWS : I missed the tests.
I will retry at another session but I'm not naive.
In my situation I have few chances to not miss a second try.

My fingers are too shitty.
I saw the gestual of the man and I must to reproduce what he was doing.
I don't know the gestual of a casino dealer to manipulate chips.
It was complicate for me.

I will contact all psycho-motors of my region (Only those who have an email address).
Maybe one of them can help me but it's a bit expensive and I have no guarantees to improve my skills.
Happily for me. As an user of sécurité sociale (social security).
I have maybe the possibility to be reimbursed partially or totally by the state (French Republic).

I don't know how to find a mentor in order to be a croupier.

Who know which exercises can I do to train myself ?

As a man with few qualifications (I haven't the French equivalent of a high School diploma and high school certificate) I have few chances to find another training that take place in a foreign country.

I want to pass the French equivalent of these diplomas.
But I know I have the possibility to miss one of these or the two.

What to do ?
