:notsure: I don't know, Red Cloud. Doesn't look too roomy. I just keep imagining myself walking towards the edges and my face colliding with the "wall". Since I'm a naturally klutzy person it wouldn't work for me at all.  ;D

Yippee! . . I have found you just the place you need SP. This roomy Gothic Mansion
has all the mod cons, like this Iron Maiden.
I have the caged variety,
which I got from Aldi some years ago. I keep it in my man cave, but you are most welcome to have it SP.
You could invite all us godless heathens to a huge house-warming party on Halloween. Its only 3 weeks away now isn't it?
I look forward to your invitation. :frolic:

I'm moving out. Found this great 10th-floor apartment -- quieter and with a great view of the lake nearby -- but still walking distance from the bus stop and supermarket.

It's exciting but at the same time I hate the moving process, packing everything and filling the car with junk so I can take it over to the new place, then unpacking everything so the apartment feels like home.

How are you going to decorate? Do you like bright, bold colours?

Depends. I like it as long as it doesn't feel too cartoony. I'm mostly into black, wood and silver (of course!).

I was just wondering whether the Portuguese love of bright colours has influenced your taste in Brazil. When I travel there are some Portuguese TV channels in some hotels, and I always notice that the talk and game show sets are decorated in very bright, primary colours. The same goes for the clothing of the audiences. I assumed it was a Portuguese trait, because the opposite is true of French and German TV shows. I haven't seen much Scandinavian TV, but I would imagine they also favour more subdued schemes.

My own taste is mainly for black and white neutral schemes.

:notsure: Personally, I prefer more subdued traits myself, but I have seen some Brazilians dress in a way that would get others wondering if they were colourblind. But then again maybe they are, I can't say for sure.

I haven't been to Portugal yet, so I don't really know if it's the case there as well, but here some cities are very colourful, like Olinda, with its rows of brightly coloured colonial houses:

My mother loves bright colours...she painted the house she lives in yellow, with blue window frames, doors and gate. The house next door is bright purple. But that's a bit of an oddity in Porto Alegre.

I'm wondering how Buddy is getting on.
If religions were TV channels atheism is turning the TV off.

Could be a new worldwide phenomenon.
I think it's an old one but becoming more prevalent due to the interaction of global warming and global dumbing.
Take my advice, don't listen to me.

Feels like a quiet Sunday...I guess the heat has people staying inside in the air-conditioned shade and not out on the streets where they will most likely melt.

Since you're asking it was the "the Ottoman government's systematic extermination of 700,000 to 1.5 million Armenians"

It's not polite to talk about it though.

Hitler knew of it, said something like "Who today remembers the Armenian extermination?"

I think I might have destroyed my left knee. The sad thing is, if I wasn't paying for health insurance I might be able to afford a doctor. :(
