Choice between a Curse or Death

Actually, she sat in stunned silence for a bit, and then said  that she would choose me cursing her. XD

Does she believe you cursing her would have a supernatural effect on her?
I'm not sure how Christian cursing works.  Does the curser have power or do they petition god or Beelzebub to act?  I'm tempted to say this sounds rather primitive but I'm not sure if it is more crazy to everyday faith or just different crazy.
