Are the .1% are shooting themselves in the foot by hording.

Presently, the rich preside over a demographic pyramid that is top shaped and de-stabled.

Ironically, because the rich have put themselves so far from the base, they themselves have become the most unstable part of the pyramid. This is not good for the rich.

Trickle down, an economic concept which is what we all live in, if increased would remedy the stability problem.

With the world below being de-stabilized by the rich, due to their distance from the bottom, and the rich knowing the benefits of stability, would be well advised to lower its demographic position and bring profits to the whole demography.

To the rich, with profits to all being possible, I would ask, what are you waiting for?

What is "hording"? The rest is quite unclear to me as well.

Where do rich people 'horde' their money? In banks. How do banks make money? They lend it to people. How many dollars can a bank lend for each dollar they hold? About 10.

The appropriate spelling is "hoard".

Though I suppose a large number of currency units, bills or coins, flocking together could be said to be a "horde" as well!

I don't see why anybody would want to give a serious response to your posts, Gnostic Christian Bishop—you've consistently ignored such responses. If you're just here to preach, you'll eventually find yourself being denied a soapbox on this site.

True, but not relevant to the issues at hand as the vast majority do not.

Got any sources and corroboration for this DL?

Yes. Economics 101 that discuses socio economic demographic pyramids and speaks to the desirability of stability and a moral shape.

Something we do not have at present.

Ah, never took that economics 101.  OK, never took economics 50.5 for that matter. I was hoping you could point me at a source that you have used so I am on the same song sheet. Then I could compare it with other sources.

Most of this post is a declaration.
Then you ask a question to the rich people.... um.... do you think there are a lot of rich people here to pose that question to?
Who are you wanting a response from?
And what might YOU propose as a solution to the "Rich" people hoarding the wealth? How should this greater flow of cash to the less wealthy happen?
I'm beginning to feel suspicious of you.

All who teach or know economics will know the desirability of stability.

Check any source you like.

The rich need only send it down to the lower levels.

I don't know if there are any rich people lurking about. Do you? How can you know?

I don't care for the OP, but I'll speak on the topic.

The 1% will be fine even if the US were to collapse tomorrow. They have all kinds of foreign investments and holdings. They diversify. The people they're shooting is everyone else. They get to suck the country dry and skip off to another with barely any of them losing anything. And those few 1% that do lose some will not lose much. Maybe tiny few of them will be stupid and unlucky and lose out almost everything.

So no, The 1% are not shooting themselves in the foot at all.

So you do not think a stable economy would benefit us all then?
