Title: Who killed Kennedy?
Post by: SisterAgatha on January 07, 2018, 12:42:25 AM
I am back after an extended absence.

In your educated opinion, who killed JFK? Was it several gunmen as opposed to Lee Harvey Oswald?

Was it the Mob? The CIA? Cuban Exiles?

For some reason I have doubts it was anyone but Lee Harvey Oswald, no conspiracy no nothing.

I just think that a conspiracy would have emerged by now,and quite frankly, JFK was not progressive or revolutionary enough to warrant an assasnation by the powers that be.

Oswald killed JFK.  It's been proven over and over.  Give up - you are chasing a wild goose in a sleigh pulled by 8 March hares.

Not that I believe it, it's just satisfyingly outlandish.

Americans are particularly fond of, and subject to, believing in conspiracy theories.  Black helicopters from Area 51, UFO abductors, Bush planned 911,  Obama is a Kenyan Muslim, One world order................................and on and on.

I think that a good conversation could be made for the underlying causes of our penchant for unbelief.

Fear of the unknown for starters.   The Puritans who had been conspiracy-fearing truth tellers even before they turned themselves into Americans, became fantastically so. They had escaped one unholy conspiracy-the Antichrist and his popish confederates who were running the English churches. ....only to find themselves on the western front of the global holy war.  They had made the difficult but thrilling pilgrimage from the frying pan into a terrible but thrilling fire. Governor Increase Mathers' son Cotton Mather after his father the most famous American Puritan minister, described the "Droves of devils in our way" as demons in the shape of the armed indians.

We imported conspiracy theories even as we first became Americans.

Plus America (though the word does not appear on the Statue of Liberty) for a while welcomed the persecuted of Europe, people so steeped in centuries of intrigue, as victims, it must have been almost genetic to see it as normal. Russia still suffers the syndrome to this day.

Be interesting to see a correlation between ethnic origin and succeptibility to conspiracy theory. Those times were not that many generations ago.

Steinbeck had similar ideas, especially pertaining to the way we move all over the damn place.

There is no way the mafia killed JFK.

Maybe Giancana was angry over JFK doing naughty things with his mistress, Judith Exner, and maybe there was some anger of them thinking JFK  would be their "man" (given Joe Kennedy's connection with the mob).

But they liked JFK. He had "Class" and they never would want to kill him. It would put more fire their way than they already had.

What of the CIA? there is a theory JFK wanted to "scatter them to the winds" so a powerful government coup took him out!

...So...If nobody buys into the CIA conspiracy...Can we finally drop it? What else is there to talk about?

No. I didn't buy in to the theory I mentioned but we still had to talk about that one too.

I've generally been more partial to the idea that Oswald, if he didn't act alone, was an agent of the Soviet Union. He did have a history of consorting with communists, including  defecting for a while to live within the USSR from 1959 to 1962. And Kennedy had proven again and again that he would not play second fiddle to the Soviets.

If that is the case (and it is a big if), then it is possible that Jack Ruby was his handler and shot him out of fear that Oswald would break and spill the beans.

But that is just speculation on my part.  :notsure:

Fine.
Who killed Kennedy? The Reptilians, of course.

Actually, Kennedy killed himself after some time travelers saved him from Oswald.

Oh I agree 100%, in fact I believe Simon and Garfunkel knew Joe did it as well, and that's why they mention him in the lyrics to the song "Mrs Robison"!

QuoteWhere have you gone, Joe DiMaggio
A nation turns its lonely eyes to you
Woo, woo, woo
What's that you say, Mrs. Robinson
Joltin' Joe has left and gone away
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey

Fucking A!
