YouTube links must look like this if they are to work

They often start out looking something like this

If you look closely at the above you will see an '&', it and all the characters to its right need to be deleted if the link is to embed properly. So you delete the following.

So

I'd search for the video that won't play directly in YouTube. If it will/won't play if you find it by search rather than link that may give you a clue to the root of the issue. Also post a link here if you have one so we can try.

The same thing said in a different way.

The first thing is to make sure is the link you are using is correct. YouTube links often have a lot of crap on the right hand end that needs to be stripped off before one adds the BBCode 'tags' that do the magic.

This link wont work because of the crap marked in red

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOVMHUxLeMI&feature=related

The bit you need to strip off is the & and all the characters to its right which leaves this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOVMHUxLeMI

That just gets treated like a link that you can click on to go to the video. To make the video appear you need to add the BBCode tags

before and after the link so the whole assembly of link and tags looks like this.

It must look exactly like that. Spaces or lines between the link and the tags bugger things up, for example:-

But with the right link and the tags correctly placed you should see this
