Things that make you chuckle

Not so much as "cheerful", just a passing chuckle.

Quick visit to my GP's surgery, newish GP, changing things. Reception staff now have uniforms, juniors a dark mauve smock with a  lilac stripe down the front from the right shoulder; seniors with the colour scheme reversed. Wonder what the doctor will be wearing, pristine whites or the same old casual, jean style, slacks and check shirt?

In a London hotel, run by an ex-army sergeant major, junior bar/restuarant staff wore light brown shirts, seniors had a thin white stripe, junior managers half and half, full managers all white. Hotel staff had the same but in blue and white. At least you could work out who you were talking to.
Tomorrow is precious, don't ruin it by fouling up today.

Ha! Been there, done that!

You'd be in big trouble if it got off your nerves.

That is very true. In order to compensate for no myelin sheaths our cells' axons would have to have much larger diameters (less resistance inside the cell, more ion channels scattered along the surface), but they would be much slower.

 myelin!

My friend Jane and I exchange, "I'm still alive" emails, usually just short comments on weather, aches & pains etc. every morning. Jane is almost as good at typos as I, this morning's offering included: "Weather foolish".

I could only agree! :D

That's cool Dave, ever think of sending Jane an email telling her that you died, but this email is proof there is an afterlife because you sent it to her after your death?

Maybe too morbid of a joke though to play on a friend?

This made me chuckle when I saw it this morning, Prince's stage pass from 1980 when he was just an opening act for "Rick James" (RICk JAMES BITCH!)

I like how on the "Position" line he wrote: Musician/Star

Now Prince was really cool.  8)

Larson has that sideways sense of humour I love. That's also why Pratchett was a favourite of mine. Both have/had the ability to take the ordinary and give it a twist.

I agree, Larson to me is one of the best...this is probably my favorite of his for obvious reasons.
