Kitsch or Cute

I was looking at curtain rods 'cause I'm making some and saw this thought, you can curtain rods with birds on them.



So is it Kitsch or Cute?
Can't it be both?

Kitsch is very much in the eye of the beholder.

Such an ornament has a kind of Arts and Crafts feel to it, as well as being faintly reminiscent of Grinling Gibbons' work (yes that is a real name). I agree that aesthetic judgements on such things are largely in the eye of the beholder, and some would say that it's unnecessarily busy, but in the right setting I think it would work. Personally, I'd say it's neither particularly cute nor kitsch.

I had loads of clutter, but got rid of most of it when I moved. I don't miss it.
