I just had an idea.

I don't know about you guys, but I *LOVE* debating, especially against believers. My idea was too gather all known arguments that christians use, and refuting them, as to reference them.

Just an idea :D

Very good idea, but do we have room on the server?
I want bad people to look forward to and celebrate the day I die, because if they don't, I'm not living up to my potential.

But by all means, give it a go, unless there is already such a repository of information on the Web (annd there just might be).

The site does sorta have an FAQ area set up which would be good for housing those refutations in one area:

http://www.happyatheistforum.com/kb.php

It would proabably be best to put it together in a thread or multiple threads first then figure out how to organize it in a more formal fashion.

I think that Talk Origins has any evolution stuff covered (in GREAT detail).  So we dont' have to do any of that.

We've got a server and since we closed our web-hosting business, we've got TONS of room, so we can host something like that.  We tried to do it on RADAtheist last year, but Joe (hubby) got discouraged when atheists didn't flock to the site.  LOL!  So if you need more room for a database like that, let me know.

We've got atheismquotes.com and I'm looking into getting a secular scrapbooking site (for the RUSH of non-Christian scrappers... yes, sarcasm) and my regular croppincorner.com site is on that server, but that's it.

Hmmmm... I haven't read the FAQ, is the 'Stalin was an Atheist OMG!!!!!!!' stuff covered there?
(Interestingly, Gorbachev was an atheist... Not like the Fundamentalists are going to say so... o.O)
Otherwise, that would be a good place to start, along with 'atheism is a religion', and... I know!
http://conservapedia.com
Go there and look at the 'Atheism' article. That should give loads of idiotic (But often used) claims to refute. ;)

By the way...don't worry about taking up too much space on the forum with anything...I looked at the stats today when i was making sure hosting would be paid for since i got a new bank account when i moved:

Disk Space: 122.00 MB of 5000.00 MB (2.44%)
Bandwidth: 4521.10 MB of 250000.00 MB (1.81%)

I think we will be fine for a while :)

Atheismqoutes.com is your website?

Btw, I downloaded a scrapbooking program that looks like fun. I think I might get hooked. Damn you Rose!

This site might need such a place to answer questions. It's not like the religious are flocking here to provide the questions. I'm kinda getting the idea that this site is a safe haven for the non-religious.

Yup, the hubby and I run atheismquotes.com... It's a passion of ours to find non-believer and scientific quotes.

You go, Steve!  It's a fun hobby!

LOL!  We'd add that one too if Cafe Press would let us.

We've got more than atheism stuff in our store, too... we've got all the quotes to put on tshirts and whatnot, but we also have an atheist logo that Joe made, a nice "The tilt of the Earth's axis is the reason for the season" graphic, one with Bush making a face that says, "Why do I hate Bush?  No Reason." (one of MY favorites), "Got Science", "In Reason We Trust" and more.

Was it free?  If so, please post a link.  I may need something like that.

I will when I get home from work; I can't think of it off the top of my head.
