Note: I wouldn't take this test all too seriously, although I think many of the questions asked are good ones.
My score:

You are a whining rotter.
About what I expected, just to the left of center.
My score.
2.533333333333333
1.9333333333333333
I didn't understand all the questions though.
2.1333 I'm a liberal air-head.
Damn, I would have liked one of those spiffy black suits.
I think it said it was from 1950 in the copyright. Thinking back on the questions it's strange how "relevent" and "common interest" many of them seemed. It seems like the old addage that "the more things change the more they stay the same" comes to my mind.
My score: 3.6666666666666665
.....oh sh*t! :dig:
Oh, wait this was about if I was a fascist. Nevermind then :yay:
3.3
You are disciplined but tolerant; a true American.See? What did I tell you! Asmodean nice. The world bad.
QuoteAre you a fascist?
Depends, are you on Glenn Beck?

OK if the wind is blowing that way I suppose I could become a facist.
Does a good fascist really have to believe these things?
QuoteScience has its place, but there are many important things that can never be understood by the human mind.
Every person should have complete faith in some supernatural power whose decisions he obeys without question.
Some day it will probably be shown that astrology can explain a lot of things.
QuoteNo sane, normal, decent person could ever think of hurting a close friend or relative.
How about if my wife is showing disrespect for the dear leader, shouldn't I discipline her?
I suppose this disciplining would be for her benefit, and so not really hurting her.
Or do I do it with out thinking about it?
QuoteSome people are born with an urge to jump from high places.
I suppose some are, probably balanced by an urge not to pulp themselves.
QuoteThe wild sex life of the old Greeks and Romans was tame compared to some of the goings-on in this country, even in places where people might least expect it.
I need clarification on this, we fascists don't approve?
2.533333333333333
Liberal Airhead.
2.7 A liberal airhead.
I got like 2.03, so just a tiny bit lower and I would have gotten "rotting whiner." The cutoff is at 2
I see patriotism as a negative value, freedom as a strong positive value, and want a powerless government, so I´m about as far away from a fascist as you can get.
Patriotism makes me sick. There's no room for an upside in a round world. We're all humans, just because there's someone with different habits and skin color living in another country doesn't make them any worse or any better than you.
War, religion, patriotism. We'll probably start working towards the Heaven on Earth we COULD have when those things fade away.
2.966666666666667
Liberal blah blah
that surprised me TBH as I like to think I'm a bit of a hardliner. It must be that whole 'not hating gay people' that let me down.

Stupid liberals and their non-hatred of people with different sexualities than them.
I think that, so far, I've gotten the lowest score out of everyone here. Huh.
I just took it again, and this time, I got 1.7.
So yeah, I'm pretty much a fascist.

I bet this time you were TRYING to get a lower score, though.

A bit, but I was still answering honestly.

I'm quoting you on this, btw.
Do you guys mean blind patriotism, or exceptionalism when you say patriotism? Because I can't see how simply loving one's own country is a bad thing.

Yeah, that's the kind of "patriotism" I thought you were talking about, and I agree.
That's not Patriotism, that's called "Nationalism". I know they seem like synonyms of each other, but their not. There's a big difference. Patriotism pretty much the love of one's own country, whereas Nationalism is more or less a nation-specific version of ethnocentrism .

Yeah, and I don't think all that many people should love their own country. I rather dislike mine.

This is from a Samuel Johnson Wiki
QuoteIn 1774 he printed The Patriot, a critique of what he viewed as false patriotism. On the evening of 7 April 1775, he made the famous statement, "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel."[8] This line was not, as widely believed, about patriotism in general, but the false use of the term "patriotism" by John Stuart, 3rd Earl of Bute (the patriot-minister) and his supporters; Johnson opposed "self-professed Patriots" in general, but valued what he considered "true" patriotism

I don't like what I regard as false patriotism either. When discussions can't be had before a country should goes to war, and opponents are shouted down as traitorous or are too scared to talk, it's not a healthy situation.

Yeah, but I'm planning on emmigrating in 6 years regardless of what the government looks like then.
Quote from: "Heretical Rants"Yeah, but I'm planning on emmigrating in 6 years regardless of what the government looks like then.
Yeah, I think I might move somewhere else to -- either to Seattle (which is only like, a twenty minute drive away) or to another country. Some of the ones I'm considering: Australia, Japan, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, The Netherlands.
When I say 6 years, I mean anywhere from 2-6 years. I'd go right now, but I still have to deal with college.

That's pretty much what I meant, and you're more than welcome to quote me.
I just hate how there's so much hatred put forward just because someone lives a few miles overseas or across a border. We're all citizens of planet EARTH. We are ONE, imho. If we don't figure this out, we'll achieve nothing but cosmic destruction at this rate.
And also, if you criticize the country you are living in or the government you're labeled as unpartiotic or as a conspiracy theorist. Well, you know what? If that's what it takes to point out tyrrany as it's rising up, or even when it's already in plain sight (As it is.), then so be it.
3.86666666666

2.6 a liberal airhead. And to think I've always voted Republican.
I never thought becoming atheist would change my worldview so much that it would also change my political views. Without religion, however, I have started to see the value in conflict theory. I still see some positives to functionalist theory, but I also see now the places where it's flawed. I guess between two extremes is usually the truth.
Liberal airhead. Wow there is a shock!
You are a liberal airhead 2.2666666666666666 <----still got the Satanist in me. Lol. :D
3.4, but that's misleading. There are huge areas of politics not mentioned there which concern us greatly today. Eg immigration, public debt. On those I would be a lot farther to the right.
Liberal Airhead: 2.6333.
Well it is a new experience being called that.
2.4...liberal airhead.
Some of these questions are so lame and vague.
2.6333333333333333
You are a liberal airhead.
Ha. Airhead... :D
2.2, liberal airhead. Think I already knew that.
Quite a lot of what is defined as liberals here... With many of those scores, one would probably not be quite in that club where I'm from.
2.2333333 and proud to be a liberal airhead!
oh, and for any other atheist liberal airheads on the forum, we're officially smarter than conservative religious folk (but we knew that anyway didn't we!)

Yep. Political compass tests always say the same thing.
