Welp, there's a big oil stain on the concrete driveway right where I stopped the car this morning and two streams where I backed up to our driveway and pulled in. Something has a hole in it, and a big one at that. Can't assess the damage until tomorrow morning but it ain't likely to be pretty.

ilikely its low oil is making the noize. but the hole is the problem, clearly. it may just be a drain plug. or road damage

where i live exposed steel corrodes after a few years. a month ago my pickup developed a hole in the transmizsion cooler lines. took six quarts of fluid to make ut to the shop safely
