I was sitting in my adviser's office yesterday morning to register for fall classes and a lady walked in and started talking to her secretary. She asked the secretary if their house had sold, yet. The secretary said no, the showing they were to have was canceled, but her husband was going to plant a statue of St. Joseph in their back yard. The lady said to her, "It really works! I had a friend do that and they sold their house!" I giggled and everyone looked at me. So...they don't think the house would have EVER sold if they hadn't buried a statue in the back yard?  :hmm:

People are superstitious and silly.  It makes you wonder what kinds of odd "house selling" trinkets you might find buried in your back yard.
