Title: New study on link between dino extinction and mammalian evo.

Contrary to what was previously believed, dinosaur extinction did not immediately benefit mammalian evolution in terms of a huge speciation event.   Two other large events happened much later (in geological terms).

Very strange fact given the enormous room for niche exploration.
