;)   A math exercise can prove that the earth is flat.  When you differentiate an equation....like Y=X^2   it becomes dy/dx=2X......you are actually finding the exact slope of  two connected points on the equations curve. It is so small a space on the curve, that it is for all practical purposes a flat length of line. .........By extension, we are so tiny a location on the Cartesian graph of the greater universe that we just have to be living on a flat place. Just like the differential says.......... :bigspecs:....... :point&giggle:

;D That's some brainy stuff...I unfortunately don't get it.  :(

I took Calculus eons ago, and got a flat C for 'Champion'.

Thanks, .Icarus, a very informative article that has linked a few things that I already learned into a better pattern.

Hmm, the Sun would have to be a sort of oval, or convex lens profile, with two pointy ends, one above the geographical North Pole, the other rotating around the cicumference.

That is a wonderfully persuasive refutation of the flat earth proposition Silver.  Both you and the sun lamps are cleverly illustrative.

I think I already posted this here, but just in case... :notsure:

No one

Everything is flat! The 3rd dimension is a NASA conspired falsehood!

O.K. I don't want to be mean or anything like that, but doesn't this:

Designer cats: How competitive breeders could be endangering animals

Nature would not produce something like this:

Just as it would never produce this:

(British bulldogs can't even give birth without undergoing C-section).

^ I just have a problem with designer pets in general. The amount of inbreeding that goes on to achieve an aesthetic at the detriment of the animals' health is an absurd from a biological point of view.

Yes. Very sad, isn't it?  :(
