Title: Predict Trump's Future Here
Post by: MadBomr101 on February 16, 2017, 03:48:22 PM
I wasn't sure how fast or how badly the Trump administration was going to sink when the orange fucknut was elected, I only knew it was going to be a disaster. Even I'm amazed at the speed at which the Trump administration is tanking. We literally can't go even ONE day without some new or continuing shitstorm coming from the clown car that is the Trump administration.

Given that we're less than a month into this debacle and we're already overrun with scandal and corruption on an unpresidented level, I think it's safe to predict that there's little to no chance Trump will even finish the year without being impeached. In fact, I'm gonna predict his ouster from office by October and even that's going to seem like forever. Imagine all the lunacy that's going to happen in that time. Trump's White House is the political version of the show "Jackass." Until he's impeached he's still going to do a lot of damage because Trump as president for 10 months is like letting a monkey drive on the freeway for 10 mins - not a long time but think of all the damage that will be done.

Then we'll have to deal with a Mike Pence administration but let's hold this to one fiasco at a time.

I think you deserve a whole, new election.

Er, but who would the Dems field? Clinton again? She is keeping very quiet. Or just not being reported?

I refuse to believe that the DNC - dumb as they are - would be dumb enough to run Hildog again, ever. She couldn't beat the most disliked and incompetent GOP nominee is history.

As scared and confused as they are of Bernie Sanders, his message is clearly the one that resonates most with the public so, if not Bernie, someone closer to him than just another corporatist Democrat, Liz Warren, maybe. I'd like to see Al Franken for Prez too.

Realistically though, they'd probably put up someone like Tim Kaine or Corey Booker.

If a few more Republicans muster up enough morality to enforce the emolument clause and to launch a bi-partisan and/or independent investigation into Trumps financial situation especially where it concerns Russia, then maybe he will get impeached and removed from office.

Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine both were strong enough to stand up for Americans by voting against DeVos instead of just voting for a person unfit for the job.

Then Pence... well... at the very least, Pence will likely be smarter about going against the constitution and will very likely be much more stable. So like a -15 instead of a -2974. I think it would be an improvement but not enough to bring us back out of the decline.

And if Dems want to get the votes again, they have to side with the people again. Right now, only a few are.

If a few more Republicans muster up enough morality to...

Gonna have to cut you off right there. Murkowski and Collins were anomalies in a reality where voting blindly along party lines isn't just the norm, it's expected as standard procedure. This goes for most Democrats today as well as they continue to devolve into moderate-centrist republicans themselves.

I can't start believing that ethics and integrity will ever play a substantive part in any realistic expectation of politics now or in the future. There will be the odd few individuals of character but, overall, expect the worst.

Is my cynicism showing?

They get their morality from the people that vote them in. It is more complicated when you look closer, but they wouldn't have their job if people didn't vote them in.

I have sympathies for a lot of people though, most of the representatives I voted for lost.

I fully agree with Davin. Wouldn't like to see the return of Clinton either. Maybe a much younger candidate?

It is customary for the losing presidential candidate to stay out of the spotlight for a while. People have been castigating her for it, however, she owes the American public nothing.

At this point, I'm not sure Trump will make it to the end of the year. On the other hand, he has defied expectations before.

I'm so mixed about impeachment... On one hand, we'll be lucky if Pence is as bad as Trump on social issues and he has the sense to be sneaky about it, making him less publically reviled and less likely to draw protest. On the other hand, he's way less likely to get us all nuked over a social media account.

It's possible that the Democrats could take the House of Representatives in the mid-term elections, but not likely. As long as the House has a strong Republican majority, I think the chances of impeachment are minimal. It's going to be a long four years.

This won't go full term. He can't go a week without some new scandal,  or indefensible legislation, or some egregious lie coming back to bite him in his flabby, dimpled ass. No matter what the upcoming elections hold, the pressure will continue to build on the seated members of the GOP until they can't ignore it. He is not going to last four years. I'll be amazed if he lasts one.

I further predict:

- He will be caught playing with dolls
- He will be photographed tweeting on the toilet
- He will be caught jacking off to a picture of Ivanka
- He will suggest he be allowed to guest-host The Apprentice from the Oval Office
- His first SOTU will focus entirely on how many people really attended his inauguration and he will attempt to present evidence that his hands are twice as big as any other man
- He will be photographed being teabagged by Putin

I think Trump will remain in power, although his power may well become little more than symbolic if all his administration has the time for is defending itself in and out of court.

I doubt that he'll be forced to resign - much less that he will do it himself.

I agree, possibly he'll commit an act that could bring him to face impeachment (Such as what's going on with prior communications with Russia), but it would be hard to imagine enough votes in congress to vote against him.

Possibly the stress of the position may get to him though, as I don't think he fully realized the weight of responsibility of being President...he doesn't really appear to be someone in the best of health, so maybe health issues could be of concern, and he doesn't seem to me the type to follow orders very well, even if from health care providers.

I'm rather hoping for a storming of the castle, and throw him and the other cronies in the "Pit of Despair".

I'd like to see him quit. It would bring me great joy to see him break and humiliate himself.

QuoteRep. Walter B. Jones (R-N.C.) co-sponsored the Protecting Our Democracy Act on Thursday, a spokeswoman for Jones confirmed Friday. He joins every member of the House Democratic Caucus in co-sponsoring the bill, which would set up a 12-member panel evenly divided between Republicans and Democrats.

A good sign?

If that gets off the ground and the panel finds nothing, I will feel a lot better and wouldn't push that specific issue any more. And I will fight against Dems if they try to Benghazi it and do panel after panel after panel...

Oh yes, so bad that others think twice before trying to follow in his footsteps (for least a while), and also enough to take out many of his supporters with him.

I join the rest of you in wanting Mr. Trump to go away.....like now.

It unlikely that he will be impeached, tarred and feathered, or ridden out of town on a rail.   There are almost as many of his believers as there are of us who do not care for him.  Go ask the man on the street in Iowa, or South Carolina, or South Dakota.  They can, and do, defend the Donald with certainty and resolve. I have no idea about what those people are thinking, how or why they formed their preference but there they are.  Their votes count for as much as ours.

Two days ago, Kathleen Parker a popular op-ed columnist wrote the most scathing critique of Trump yet. She claims that the mid term elections in 2018 will be a major realignment of parties. The premise is that so many of us are unhappy that we will get the Dems out to vote.  We will turn the GOP  rascals out in favor of our variety of rascals. She reckons that the new Democratic house and senate majority will need only 30 seconds to begin the impeachment process. I like what she writes but I fear that it is only wishful thinking.

Never fear. The Socialist Muslim Kenyan Fascist is on the case.

"Insiders: Obama Holdover 'Shadow Government' Plotting to Undermine Trump" | Breitbart (http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2017/02/17/obama-shadow-government-may-working-undermine-trump/)

QuoteSeveral intelligence insiders have come forward over the past few days to describe a "shadow government" of Obama holdovers leaking information to derail the Trump presidency, with National Security Adviser Mike Flynn's resignation their first great success.

There are even allegations that former President Barack Obama himself is actively involved, citing his establishment of a command center in Washington and continuing involvement with activist organizations.

:grrr: Thanks, Obama!  :grrr:

It could be but I have to think that some kind of action will be taken. Why do I feel so strongly about this? Because any other person working any other job, whether it be bagging groceries, flipping burgers, selling shoes, anything at all, if they proved themselves to be as unqualified, imbalanced, immature and just plain stupid as Trump has proven himself to be, would be fired.

If a cashier or a bagboy wouldn't be allowed to keep a simple minimum wage job displaying the characteristics that Trump displays daily, how the hell can he be allowed to continue to be president? How can we hold a cashier or a hot dog vendor to a higher standard of competence than the president?

How fucked up can this country possibly be?

Wait! Probably best not to answer that.

The problem is that he's a useful idiot for the Republicans in Congress right now. He gave them an Antonin Scalia wanna-be Supreme Court nominee, an EPA leader who hates the EPA, an Attorney General who will look the other way while they take away minority voting rights, etc. So long as they get to push their agenda, they're willing to sell their souls and put up with this shit.
My father bet my mother $100 that he would make it through all four years, and even now he doesn't think the Republicans will turn on him. Sadly, I think this is possible unless undeniable proof that he's compromised comes out, like actually finding that tape of the hookers pissing on the bed, or his tax returns. Or they lose badly in the next midterms. And like PC said, even if that happens, we then have a religious wacko president who actually knows what he's doing in Pence.
