meh...I wasn't terribly impressed with the questions asked.  I would guess a 23 year old psych student at Brown University wrote those questions.

You have to be absolutely batshit to end up that high and right on that skewed ass test.

There are many better political quizzes on the Internet than the Political Compass. Like this one.

My results:

Conservative/Progressive score: 12
You are a social progressive. You generally consider yourself a humanist first. You probably think that religion and patriotism go too far in society. You probably consider yourself to be a citizen of Earth first rather than a citizen of your country.

Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist score: 12
You're a Social Capitalist, you think that, left to its own, Capitalism leaves a lot of people behind. You think that Health Care should be free to all, that the minimum wage should be raised, and that the government should provide jobs to all that are capable of having them. You likely hated the Bush tax cuts, and believe that the middle class has gotten poorer, and the rich have gotten richer over the past several years. The far extreme of social capitalism is socialism.

Libertarian/Authoritarian score: 2
You are libertarian. You think that the government is making way too many unnecessary laws that are taking away our innate rights. You believe that the government's job is primarily to protect people from harming other people, but after that they should mind their own business, and if we give the government too much power in controlling our lives, it can lead to fascism.

Pacifist/Militarist score: 2
You're a Pacifist. You are angered that the United States thinks it should dominate the world through its military force. You think that the only time war is necessary is when we are in direct danger of being attacked. You also believe the US spends way too much of its money on defense, as we can practically cut it in half and still easily defend ourselves, and use that money to fix all our economic problems.

Economic Left/Right: -3.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.38

Eh. Whatever. Thomas Jefferson is my role model.

I loved when Bush came out and said, "We are losing the war against drugs." You know what that implies? There's a war being fought, and the people on drugs are winning it.

QuoteThe Quiz

The following are your scores. They are based on a gradual range of 0 to 12. For instance, a Conservative/Progressive score of 3 and 0 will both yield a result of social conservative, yet 0 would be an extreme conservative and 3 a moderate conservative

Conservative/Progressive score: 11
You are a social progressive. You generally consider yourself a humanist first. You probably think that religion and patriotism go too far in society. You probably consider yourself to be a citizen of Earth first rather than a citizen of your country.

Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist score: 6
You are a Moderate Capitalist. You support an economy that is by and large a free market, but has public programs to help people who can't help themselves or need a little help. Pretty much you believe in the American economy how it currently is.

Libertarian/Authoritarian score: 1
You are libertarian. You think that the government is making way too many unnecessary laws that are taking away our innate rights. You believe that the government's job is primarily to protect people from harming other people, but after that they should mind their own business, and if we give the government too much power in controlling our lives, it can lead to fascism.

Pacifist/Militarist score: 0
You're a Pacifist. You are angered that the United States thinks it should dominate the world through its military force. You think that the only time war is necessary is when we are in direct danger of being attacked. You also believe the US spends way too much of its money on defense, as we can practically cut it in half and still easily defend ourselves, and use that money to fix all our economic problems.

Overall, you would most likely fit into the category of Libertarian

For some reason, PoliticalQuiz.net keeps freezing my browser. I switched over to Chrome, but then the results won't load at all. Dislike! :upset:

I do use IE9 now. Haven't had any other problems with it so far.

And Google better give me my damn results, considering I use almost every other single service they offer - including one of their smart phones.

Really? Which smartphone did you use? My birthday is coming up, along with my Verizon contract renewal, and I was thinking about getting a smartphone. Probably an Android, as I have heard they are superior to iPhones.

I might even be able to get a phone on a different network.

terranus

Android is superior to Apple. We have the Flash player which allows us to browse any website just as well as your laptop can. And app developers don't have to pay Google. It's basically a developers phone in that we get all the latest apps and Android updates before anyone else does, because the Nexus One runs a stock version of the Android operating system without any 3rd party cell-carrier crap on it. Unfortunately though, I have T-Mobile. Good prices, terrible service. I used to have Verizon before I got this phone...they had decent phones and by far the best coverage...but they were just so damn pricey I finally told them to shove it. And then they tried to charge me twice for my contract cancellation fee.  :upset:

If you don't mind putting up with their high prices and terrible customer service, then I say stick with Verizon and get one of their Android phones. They usually have the best selection of them. Although Sprint is about to take that from them (seeing as how they can't get the iPhone, Sprint has fully commited to Android).

I think I will revive this thread since I took the same test earlier. I also took these two tests:
https://www.isidewith.com/political-quiz
http://www.playbuzz.com/felixstablum10/the-definitive-political-orientation-test

To use the graph from the test in the OP, I'll say that I fell in the bottom left (or libertarian left). I fell somewhere among anarcho-socialism, libertarian socialism, and syndicalism. Although I agree more with syndicalism than the other two. But there are things that I feel more progressive on, such as the advancement and implementation of science and the development of the economy for EVERYONE, not just the filthy rich.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

And I align most closely with Hillary Clinton in the recent election.
