Atheism offers nothing to me.

Never has, never will.

It doesn't make me feel good or comfort me.

It doesn't heal me when I'm sick or wounded.

It can't intervene in my times of need.

It won't wipe the tears off my eyes.

It offers no help when I have no where to run.

It won't help me fufill all my goals.

It won't tell me to stop when I'm having fun.

It doesn't take credit for all the things to acheive.

It won't torture me for eternity.

it doesn't teach me who to hate.

It doesn't tell me what to think.

So, tell me, what does Atheism offer you?

Please read the forum rules especially the part about not plagiarizing.

Nothing as it is an effect not a cause. It is an effect of a naturalistic world view. Nobody has demonstrated that the supernatural exists so it can be dismissed as an unproven hypothesis at this point.

I expect this topic will get moved to religion as it's not really an introduction as such.
If religions were TV channels atheism is turning the TV off.
"Religion is a culture of faith; science is a culture of doubt." ― Richard P. Feynman
'It is said that your life flashes before your eyes just before you die. That is true, it's called Life.' - Terry Pratchett
Remember, your inability to grasp science is not a valid argument against it.

The Magic Pudding

The codified philosophy of Antonious Atheis teaches me a deep respect for elegant head wear.

There is no such thing as Atheism.
Being an Atheist is as simple as holding a personal disbelief in god/s.

However,
My personal disbelief in god/s allows me to be:
non-judgemental
tolerant
humanistic
open to others differing ideas and beliefs
accepting of people regardless of gender, race, religious belief, sexual orientation, skin colour, cultural background, social/economic position, lifestyles...
selfless
supportive of human rights and freedoms of choice
open to scientific discoveries
skeptical

It also allows me to:
have free thought
change my mind based on a well reasoned and presented argument
accept that some answers are unknown

Whitney

I wouldn't expect not believing in something to offer someone anything.

Sweetdeath

Being an atheist allows me to:

-take responsibility and not count on the divine for help/actions
-try to become more of a humanitarian.
-Not say foolish phrases, such as; "How could God allow this? "  or " Please God... "
-Be relieved of superstisions/truly be free
-Not waste my time in religious events/services
-Feel 25% more awesome

Law 35- "You got to go with what works." - Robin Lefler

Wiggum:"You have that much faith in me, Homer?"
Homer:"No! Faith is what you have in things that don't exist. Your awesomeness is real."

"I was thinking that perhaps this thing called God does not exist. Because He cannot save any one of us. No matter how we pray, He doesn't mend our wounds.

Nothing, just like any version of theism.
Always question all authorities because the authority you don't question is the most dangerous... except me, never question me.

I'm pretty sure that he's not Richard Coughlan.

What does atheism offer me? Atheism will never lie to me. At the end of the day, atheism is simply healthy skepticism, and skepticism is an amazing tool for discovering the truth, not for being deceived. I happily know that atheism isn't going to comfort me or heal me because it never makes those promises. Religion certainly does. Religion proposes that most of science is wrong, that the universe is simultaneously perversely simple and also so far our understanding that we shouldn't even try. It promises to heal us, but never does. It promises to comfort us, but never does.
I want bad people to look forward to and celebrate the day I die, because if they don't, I'm not living up to my potential.
