I often wonder if the horror movie "Body Snatchers" is a parody of evangalistic religions (e.g. Christianity)
Where people are "free spirits" and are gradually replaced by constrained, conforming dopplegangers, where they are then driven to participate in the proliferation of the replacements. They don't do it out of hate, not like zombie movies, but they believe that they are improving their victim.

Anyone agree?

Know of any other movies that parody aspects of religion in a not so obvious way?

The Magic Pudding

The Life Of Brian and anything by the Pythons or Douglas Adams.
The new movie Paul with Simon Pegg is supposed to be good at it, but I haven't seen it.
Dune shows religions as what they are, a tool to control the masses.

Paul is fun. They run into a fundamentalist Christian, it gets quite amusing!!
If religions were TV channels atheism is turning the TV off.

Remember, your inability to grasp science is not a valid argument against it.
