Because of the words, it kinda comes out as vaguely Nordic, IMHO.
Ah! I thought it was some kind of American regional speech.

Plus! The original recording session with Michael Jackson and Vincent Price!
A passably decent Vincent Price--well done throwing one slight rolled r in there, joeactor. While Vincent Price used a rolled r when appropriate, few Americans do, which I think is a shame. Somewhat more common in the UK.
It doesn't sound like you're a smoker, though. ;)

QuoteJansen was known for her proficiency on both piano and flugelhorn, and she often played the two at the same time, periodically pausing to sing a few bars.

Anything out of the ordinary?
She's got recurring inflammatory bowel. We were able to narrow it down partially to food (no chicken or fish or greenies - just a special blend of venison and peas). But she still has bouts. Then we put her on Pepcid and Cerenia, sometimes with steroids. Not fun.
She's quite a sensitive kitty. Shelter cat. Hid for the first 3 months, and still only trusts my wife and I.
Ouch. Having done subcutaneous fluids for an old cat with problem kidneys, I can sympathize with that sort of thing.

I found a video with the parts on YouTube. The hardest part for me is hearing the parts once they're already mixed.
At least with an instrument you can play the part. Gotta learn to play something some day!

Success from nothing nowadays requires a lot of risk, which means that it's near impossible to become a stable company from scratch. But now, new companies have to play a near perfect game just to keep afloat.

The watch has a lot going for it. Features you can't find in other smartwatches. I'll keep mine until it dies or the lack of updates bricks it.
It's a great watch, and I will miss mine when they fail. I'm hoping that another watch close to as good as it pops up since I don't see any out there currently that I think are as good.

Joe, I was hoping there would be some video attached, something with you flat on your stomach with needles protruding from your back, or at least some similar pictures, I'm bummed.
I also think you gave up too early, butt with the communication issues you were having I don't blame you. I think if I was going to try something along the lines of alternative medicine I would want to be able to directly communicate with whomever is sticking such things into me, so at least out of all of your discomfort we have learned that lesson:)
One of my co-workers had acupuncture treatment for shoulder pain she was experiencing, I believe the treatment was between 4-6 weeks. She believes it helped her, butt I'm still skeptical for several reasons. One, the shoulder she was experiencing trouble with is the same arm she would use to carry in both her purse and computer bag into and out of the office everyday. When the pain became too much she switched to a wheeled device, sort of like a carryon that she can pull behind her.
She still uses this to this day, and I believe it was the way she carried her computer bag that caused the problem in the first place, plus she stopped a weight training program she was following for sometime and switched to yoga and pilates.
She still has some discomfort in the shoulder, but her range of motion has increased quite a bit from when it was at it's worse and she began the acupuncture.
Honestly I believe the acupuncture had nothing to do with the improvement in her shoulder, but rather the other adjustments she made.
Oddly enough she still hasn't seen a doctor about it, which I find completely irrational. I mean it is one thing to go to a doctor, have them diagnose you for an issue and then prescribe treatment such as physical therapy which maybe doesn't work, and rather than attempt surgery you search out some alternative treatments in hope they will help in order to avoid surgery.
Some years ago I tore my MCL playing soccer, and the sports doctor I saw for diagnoses and treatment suggested the tear was minor enough to heal on it's own without surgery, but only if I participated in therapy, wore a brace for 5-6 months, discontinued jogging by switching to walking and using an elliptical machine rather than a treadmill.
This worked, the knee completely healed and no surgery was required.
I would like to try acupuncture sometime, just to see what it is like,...probably find an english speaking practitioner though. 8)

Agreed on all counts. It was in part a communication issue. And I could have done more to research the practitioner beforehand as well. Live and learn.
QuoteI stopped taking the herbs for the same reasons. No noticeable effects. Plus, I had no idea what was in them.
This is why I'm not into alternative medicine. There are many more variables compared to conventional medicine in which active ingredients are isolated and their effect on biological systems have undergone some testing in both controlled and non-controlled conditions.

Haha, great work.
I like poser, it does a good job with generating textured meshes. Though I think that once they are generated, you're better off exporting to Maya (expensive) or Blender (free) to pose and/or animate. It takes a little more work up front, but I think it saves time in the long run.

Agreed (from my limited knowledge). Really wish it was speedier on the animation rendering. I guess I can export the model to my other animation software, but I'm not sure it will retain mobility. Might just be a static object.
Thanks for the kudos!
At some point I'll get up the nerve to try Blender or Maya. They seem to be the industry standards.

Cool! Haven't heard many first-hand accounts. Glad you like it.
I find the coverage is much better than Sprint alone was. Can't beat the pricing either.
Yeah, having several different towers has been working very nice, because it means fewer bad zones.
For the pricing, I wish everything worked like that. When you use 1MB over your data from most other providers, you get hit with an overage fee (sometimes they wave it for that little over, but you get my point), but with Fi you just get charged for the 1MB which is like a penny.
I set my data to 2GB and I often only use about 1.5GB, so I often get about $5 off my next bill. That kind of pricing makes me happy.

This is very cool, and the photographic quality is superb. If you enlarge an image you can really focus in on some details of the pieces.
I just blew 30 minutes of work time browsing through the collection,...Thanks Joe:(

CUSTOMER COMMENTSI was skeptical at first, but I decided to give the "Joe Lame' Fitness Program" a try and boy was I pleasantly surprised.
I started racking up steps counted in the tens of thousands almost immediately, hell I even was logging marathons, and believe it or not ti-atholons, and I never even left my sofa!
And belive me your body with thank you after racking up all of those miles with one of Joe's delicious MacDonald's shakes...yummy.
I've gained like 50lbs, but don't even feel guilty...thanks Joe! 8)

Dear Joe,
I hate to be the one to break this to you, but we here at HAF feel that you are not only old enough, but mature enough to handle the truth, after all this is an Atheist/Skeptic Forum.
There is no Easter Bunny Joe, sorry. :'(
That basket of goodies you get ever year, you know the one filled with jellybeans, yummy marshmallow Peeps, Cadbury eggs, and that solid chocolate Easter Bunny?
The one you thought the Easter Bunny delivered to your house?
Tank and Recusant put that out for you (Asmo used to do it, but he would eat the bunny ears so they fired him)
Anyway, I hope you take this well, and were here for you if you want to talk it out.
Take care buddy. :)
Padre Bruno
P.s I liked your poem!

I'm not mean Mags,...are parents mean when they tell their kids there is no Santa, or when parents tell their kids there is no god?
Simply looking out for Joe's best interest, save him from being teased by the other actors, or his friends and getting hurt later on.
Just keeping it real Mags, just keeping it real.

Damn'it Joe...I can understand not seeing one of these newer television series like Breaking Bad, or Game of Thrones...I'm not seen either myself, nor have I seen Downtown Abbey, or Walking Dead, etc...the only ones similar to these I've seen is the first complete season of True Detective, and Fargo, and that was only because we had the DVD's and watched them over a couple weeks. (I really enjoyed both of these a lot by the way, very, very good)
Frankly I just don't have the time to watch anything on a regular basis, even if I record...my DVR is so full of stuff I've recorded that I haven't watched it's ridiculous.
But Joe, how can you have never watched a complete Seinfeld episode? These things are so syndicated you can practically watch an episode anytime of the day or night, hell they're even available on YouTube? (I would think even from a professional standpoint you'd be curious as well)
And the Godfather movies? What the hell man! I mean the first two are classic, seriously you don't get movies made much better with regards to acting, directing, cinematography, writing, etc...you need to sit down and watch at least the first two, please. I'll even pay for the popcorn!
Dr Zhivago, sigh...I've watched this with the sound off just to admire Julie Christie (I love Julie).
I've also never seen any of the following:
Dexter
Bourne Movies
Mission Impossible Movies
Spiderman 2-8
Iron Man 1-10
Rocky 4-50
Behind the Green Door (All the way through that is, always miss the beginning)
Captain America (Basically any live action superhero movies, just not my thing)
Any reality shows with the exception of American Pickers, and Antiques Roadshow.
Joe, here's a scene from my favorite Seinfeld episode, Library Cop. I love the actor, Phillip Baker Hall in this episode who play's the library cop, he really played the character well, character's name by the way is "Joe Bookman".
I wish they would have had more episodes with him, in fact I just saw him last night as a priest in the remake of Amityville Horror (Don't waste your time watching this, as it was horrible)
Watch this Joe, and then I want a full report back to me with your opinion. 8)

Phillip Baker Hall was very funny. Seinfeld... not so much. That's probably why I don't watch more. I thought the supporting cast was all much stronger than Seinfeld, so he kinda brought the show down. At least in scenes that I've watched. With this one, the writing was very clever, but it's two straight men. In order for Seinfeld to be funny, he'd have to be the funny man instead... not happening for me.
... but the Library Cop - hilarious! (if that makes any sense)
I'll probably get around to watching some of the iconic films I've missed when I retire. Gimmie a couple decades and I'll get back to you ;-)

I agree with you, Seinfeld himself as a comedian I don't care for, but I think his relevance in the show was that he was the stable or grounding person all of the weirder and unruly supporting members could play off of.
Sort of like Bud Abbot from Abbot and Costello, I liked Lou a lot and thought he was very funny, but Bud sometimes made me cringe even though his role was that of a straight man...(I love their movies as a young boy. I used to get up early every Sunday morning while everyone else was sleeping and watch their movies, and through them I was introduced to the music of the Andrew Sister's and Ella Fitzgerald)

Good Article Joe, and I like the Raymond Chandler quote at the end, was not familiar with that, but I like it.
Your article brought to mind a lot of what I read concerning the struggles of writers online to get not only published, but actually paid for their work.
This
article (https://alyssaroyse.wordpress.com/2015/08/26/no-to-the-huffington-post-yes-to-these-sites-that-pay-writers/) by Alyssa Royse is a couple years old (I follow her on Instagram), but I think illustrates the point of artists not getting paid in leu of "Exposure". (Don't know if you deal with this is in the VO industry or not, but she's not the only writer/blogger I read who complains about this problem)
For me Art is important in our lives as anything else that sustains us,... as necessary as breathing itself. Anyway I'm not sure who wrote this, but I keep it on my desktop as a reminder to try and be creative when I can.

Dr. Otto is a great movie. Really shows what Jim Varney was capable of other than Earnest.

How would you say this "Murder" stacked up against the 1974 version with Albert Finney? That one's always been my go-to "Murder".
Ha! Yes... where is his hand at?
I thought the '74 worked better as an overall movie. This one did have some good performances and cinematography, though.

My wife said the chickens had to go!
So I signed them and put my web site on the leg, then left them at studios all over LA.
Even had one studio call me up when they found one... "We found your chicken... can you do chicken noises?"
Landed a four-hour gig making chicken sounds. Plus came back to do turkey sounds.
Chicken marketing!
Still got about 20 left in the garage.

There's a whole new discussion regarding context circumstance here . . . There is a suitable quotation niggling st the back of what I laughingly call my mind - keeps dodging out of the way.
Background note on this one:
"Pay-2-Play" sites are internet sites where people post potential jobs for Voice Actors. The Voice Actors pay a yearly fee, plus other fees per job. The jobs are often low-paying, and the sites do not screen the talent for quality or professionalism. Generally seen by pros as degrading the VO industry overall...
Thinking of joining a Pay-2-Play site? Give a listen to this parody song first!

Well, I at least frequently don't hit delete without reading. 😜 It was fun to hear how you got to where you are now in your career and to get some insight on voice over work. The Q&A was really enjoyable, too.

Women were excluded and otherwise disadvantaged by it.
It turned out that the secret was that there was no secret.

If I can do battle by sitting on my butt and reading, I'm in!
I'm 73 10/12ths, only 14 months away from a free TV licence (which I don't want.)
I have a serious heart problem.
I beat my weight problem.
I should be depressed, anxious and all things like that.
I don't give a shit about that stuff, just do the best you can!
Don't need a sword, not even to chop firewood.

I am often so glad I am not a media-streaming and games nerd person, though I am going to admit that my aging (all of 5 years) laptop is dragging its heels ever slower every day it seems. But you have the professional imperative (deductible against tax?)
Unfortunately some of my older apps don't work well in later machines but I can't afford a new laptop plus a whole new suite of software in one go.

There's also a new option on the horizon. It's called "Nvidia GeForce Now". You connect to their cloud servers and they do all the processing on their end. Needs a good internet connection, but can make an older system run graphics intensive games and apps. I'm on the beta program now...

Acting would appear to be risky business Joe. I am confident that there are superb aspirants of the art who never ever get a chance to display their talent.
On the other hand there are those that have precious little talent who make it big in show biz. Go figure....But maybe that is a matter of observer taste which constantly puzzles me. Life is no fair sometimes.
