Prohibition doesn't work. It just increases the price of the item and reduces the total available market.

^ There was a lot more to it then that according to this video. There were multiple movements and mass media at the time convinced people that prohibition was widely accepted when it was not. Although there were many movements against the use of alcohol. And the ASL used dirty tactics to get what they wanted (prohibition of alcohol)
