I was 15 I think when I joined, so you guys got to witness all my teenage angst haha.

We won't mention Sweden. Ooops I did!

That still haunts me. I don't know what the hell 15 year old me was thinking

Why can't I sleep? No matter what I try it won't come.

Who knows with insomnia?  It could be something very specific or just some weird chemical glitch.  I've been awake 36 hours now, but since I don't work any more it doesn't matter so I've spent most of that time sewing and binge-watching "Fear the Walking Dead".

When I was working I often just stayed up and hoped that I'd be tired enough the next night to start sleeping again.  If I really needed to sleep, a long, hot bath and a couple of night-time aspirin sometimes helped.

Is your doctor helpful about insomnia?

I don't have a doctor. I gave up on them this spring. Useless...

Just kidding!

So when I first joined the forum, I was super paranoid that some internet crazy would find out who I was and come murder me or something. So the most logical thing to do was to tell everyone that I was from Sweden. Because that makes total sense?????

Obviously, I threw all paranoia out the window when I actually flew to England to meet some of the Internet crazies.

It still haunts me to this day.

I think by the time you came to the UK your mum was way more worried than you were?

That's too bad, I think they do have their uses altho dealing with them can often be frustrating at best, incredibly time-consuming and very expensive (even with insurance).

Have you managed to get any sleep yet?

I have. Saturday night I took a bigger dose of Benadryl which got the first few hours out of the way and I rested most of the day yesterday. Back to the gym tonight...

Have you ever tried a weighted blanket? I've been having a hard time sleeping lately and I tried one for the first time last night and slept better than I had in ages.

I would like a quilt but the weather is still a bit warm. I came across one in a tortilla pattern that would let you sleep as snug as a burrito.

I don't know about all weighted blankets, but this one didn't make me too warm.
